Looks like Vigil will be out for several weeks with a sprained MCL thanks to a low block. But yeah, let's talk about moron Burfict and his possible intent when it comes to trying to use an unprotected portion of his body to hurt an opposing player.

Well it's pretty clear you see the sports world a lot differently than most, so can't say that I'm shocked.

Looks to be unnecessary and given his rep I bet he gets a fine.
Well, first he threw his elbow into Brown’s shoulder, which happened to catch his helmet after the contact to the shoulder. It isn’t even close to a direct hit to Browns head. He’ll probably get a fine because of his name and the way the NFL likes to break down these high speed collisions, but it really shouldn’t be a fine.

I think if you are going to criticize Marvin, criticize him for the crappy defense, the lack of a pass rush, and the inability to get off the field on 3rd downs all year, but to criticize him for scoring too soon is just dumb.

Yep. This is EXACTLY what the video shows. This was just a football play. Nothing more.

Not disagreeing but his reputation will get him fined. Plus WLW said they were reviewing 3 plays from Sunday all involving VB.

typical Bengal homer glasses on. this take is laughable.

he is going nowhere but AT HIS HEAD. that's the intent and that' what he hits. he has Brown's ENTIRE body open to hit him - mid-section, body, legs, etc and he CHOOSES to go at his head.

if you see this any other way than you're delusional.

he should get fined and he will for this.

Speaking of homer, can you explain how someone's entire body is open when they crumpled forward and halfway to the ground?

And when AB left the field VB reportedly said to JuJu "you're next" not a good look.

They were going to fast. They were in too big of a hurry. All I'm saying is why the rush when you had plenty of time. With 1:20 on the clock, they ran their 1st down play from the 11 with almost 20 seconds on the play clock. They could have used more time or at least forced Pittsburgh to use timeouts. They weren't getting the ball back again, so use all the time you can. Someone should have been in Dalton's ear to slow down, although that could be put on Andy too.

What body part did Burfict hit first? The shoulder or the head?

Given that you think Brown's entire body was open to hit, maybe I'm not the one who needs to watch the video again. And he chose to initiate contact with Brown's shoulder with the least physical of his 3 options. I can only imagine how much you'd be whining if he dove at Brown's knees and put him out for the year.

There were absolutely NOTHING about the Burfict hit that was a football move. If it was a football move he would go in for an assist on the tackle, not a glancing blow as he goes to the left of the 3 players. This was some Grayson Allen passive aggressive "Nope is wasnt me" type thing

mike mitchell did stuff like this all the time.

and im on the side that they should just cut ties with VB. he brings no stability to this team/defense. you never know how many games hes going to play for you b/c of his foolishness on the field that he can't control plus the NFL watches his every move.

i actually thought it was funny when the TE ran him over. lol

Oh I know....but it shows it wasn't an accident and he knew he gave a shot to the head with the intent of knocking him out of the game.

wrong.

if this was Mike Mitchell doing this to a Bengals player (which he's been known to do and has a history of.......sound familiar?), i would totally be calling him out for it, but nice try.

Mitchell was dirty, no doubt about that, but not at the level of Burfict.

WIth that said....I am ok with having a hammer over the middle like him to give WRs something to think about but that is going away with the new fangled NFL.

Burfict has committed clear Egregious penalties in the past. He did not commit any on Sunday, anyone claiming he did has turned 100% soft.

Who Dey!
