Man, this tournament is no where near what it was when I was wrestling. Of course, that was mid 90s, so quite a while ago, but it used to be almost ridiculous the number of top wrestlers/teams at this thing. We joked about how hard it was compared to state.

What happened to it over the years?

Penguin.....
Do you really even know the 'Big Man in the Red Hat'? He and I have collaborated many times about ways that he can find a new hat that is even bigger and redder! During these conversations he has conveyed to me his great respect for the way in which the Dukes abide by the long-established rules of Top Gun. However, I have seen this great rule-enforcer lament how he wishes some of the assistants from a particular Youngstown area school (not Fitch) would be more respectful of these incredibly reasonable rules. He claims that this year if his requests are not followed the first time he will immediately employ 'the nuclear option'! (Not sure what that is, but I for one, am scared.) By the way Penguin.....don't even think about questioning the 'Big Man in the Red Hat's' metal stability for his job. He is undoubtedly a "very fit genius"!

Lagoa pinned Eyler 2 weeks ago at Brecksville. I still see a Lagoa/Soehnlen final....if Lagoa doesn't come in lighter at 160.

Your "New Deal" with the BM in the Red Hat was made after your court packing attempt to get on his good side. I know the BMRH very well. We worked together at the CCC . Last year, I noticed hundreds of Marlington fans behind the Fitch fans. FYI The Big man in the red hat followed his son wrestling for many years at the Hephner and they asked him to patrol the crowds there as well, but he has not been there for many years.

Duly noted, I had him at 106 in my national list based on where he competed at Super 32 (or at least where he was expected to compete).

I see a lot of people downplaying the competition this year at Top-gun, they seem to have added a few competitive out of state teams from PA which will give some Ohio guys different looks, and although some weight classes are looking thin in terms of depth, I expect some to be very competitive ( eyes on 152). IMO besides the loss of Lasalle, Top Gun is still one of the top tournaments in the state.

Hmmmmm. You worked for the CCC? That's one old Penguin I would say. By my accounts that puts you at about 100 which means you've been milking STRS (any perhaps even my Social Security Act) for nearly 50 years. No wonder I can't retire until I'm 60! If it were not for my creation of the SEC (no, not the Southeastern Conference!) you'd probably have swindled more money via insider trading! Perhaps we can just agree that BMRH is a one of a kind 'stable genius' who is the best at what he does. I heard on ESPN that he has recruited a 'rogues gallery' of assistant Big Men in Red Hats to assist him this year. I did some research on the 'dark net' and found out that some of these new BMRHs may include Shannon Dennis, Tim Bob Edwards, Derek Oney, Keith Cameron, and others. Everyone best have their credentials in plain sight this weekend!!

With all due respect, the 'BMinRH' never went against the Mother who tossed someone over a railing.

On a serious note: can any tell me where the handicap seating area is. I do not believe there is an elevator to get up into the stands.

I believe I shared the #1 gym-removal for BMRH once before. Many years ago Alliance A.D. Mike Schott interviewed over a hundred candidates for this job. After awarding BMRH the job, Mike Schott and BMRH walked across the gym floor. BMRH glanced over and saw that Schott did not have his hang tag around his neck. BMRH immediately leaped into action and escorted Schott out of the gym! It was July!!

Not that's dedication!!
