no Jacob Decatur in the tournament - but his brother Jordan is wrestling. Any info on why he is not wrestling? Was looking forward to a possible Moon v Decatur match up assuming no upsets along the way to the finals. Since it was the first bracket I looked at, I initially thought CVCA had travel issues getting there.

The team spent the week at the Olympic Training Center in Colorado, maybe travel issues.

Well, since his brother made it to the tourney, he must have lost in the wrestle off. I'll go with that...

Wauseon and Elyria have six in the semis
Oregon Clay has five
Delta has four
Three each for CVCA (whom is obviously short-handed), Vandalia Butler (missing the Love brothers), Medina, Maumee, and Bedford MI

Important finals change in time!!!

Due to weather this weekend and Travel Times - We have heard that the Finals will be ran at 4:00 instead of 5:30...

Semi Finals will begin approx 1 hour into today's wrestling.. we assume about 11:00 a.m.

Thank you in advance for everyone's support and the tournament is running smoothly. There should be some great wrestling today and finals matches.
Bonnie

Another upset was at Heavyweight. Lee from Amherst pinned #8 ranked nationally Austin Emerson from Bedford, MI. From the action that I saw, this was a well run tourney. Great attendance despite the forecast. Luckily, the weather mostly missed.

Matt Lee is a monster with that body lock. Not a good idea to go upper body with him. Does anyone know if he plans on wrestling in college?

Looks like about 9 of the schools expected to attend did not show up. Fremont Ross was one of them. Was the weather worse South east of Toledo area? I see Findlay made it up along with Mount Vernon, Tiffin Columbian, etc. that were coming from much further distances to the South and East. Not sure what other schools cancelled out - or when they made the decision to bypass MBC.

The tourney ran very quickly and seemingly without a flaw that I could see from being there pretty much all day on Saturday. I think it is a great idea to have the awards ceremonies in the auditorium. Parents can go to take pictures and you do not hold up the finals. Finals started at a little after 4pm and were done around 6:15pm. I'm sure a lot of teams and families were happy with being able to get home between 7pm and around 9pm for Cleveland area schools.

Do the teams that had to cancel this event forfeit any money, tourney fees?
