NEW Rankings - January 9th

Rankings have been updated www.borofanohio.net

Follow me on Twitter: www.twitter.com/borofan_oh_wrst

Deepest Weights (Top 25)
D1- 126/132/145/285
D2- 106/145/152/182
D3- 138/182/285

If you think I missed a result or if you have any weight changes/corrections/etc – PLEASE PM or Email me (borofanohio@gmail.com). (I do not reveal my sources, so don’t be afraid haha)

NEW #1’s/Important Info:
D1 106: I moved Shupp down after confirming from a solid source that he is likely to make the move.

D2 126: With Crace leaving Graham and likely to sit out the rest of the season, Decatur becomes the new #1 - I added Nick Moore for Graham.

D2 132: I have heard from a pretty solid source that Brooks will be at 132.

D2 Team Race: I have heard that Grunden is not likely to be able to wrestle this season. I added Bischoff in at 145 for Wauseon.

D3 160/170: I apparently received bad/wrong info on the lineup for St. John. Blank will be at 160 and Lagoa will be at 170.

Thanks!

Shupp dropping is pretty big news! Wasn't sure if it was gonna happen, which tournament or dual did he make scratch at? Does this mean Bal drops for sure?

Shupp and Bal both are able to go 106 according to their Alpha so I'm guess Bal will also drop soon. Probably this week in a home dual against Sycamore would be my guess for the drop to certify.

Lol, Bal would make me a rich man if he could do 106lbs, and that's with the team discount to my Tapeworm Diet Plan.

Not sure how Fairfield does it or who is doing their Alpha testing, but that's what the test said Bal is able to go to. I agree, he looks huge and could stay healthy and continue to eat by staying at 120, but I still think we will see him at 113 very soon.

I have one who would eat a large pizza the morning of alpha testing to avoid cutting.

Looking at the D1 team race, LaSalle trails Eds by 12 now (13 last week) excluding bonus points. Boro Fan has an 18 point lead with bonus points (not sure of his method for determining bonus points). Eds has an advantage in that they have 12 guys ranked top 16 vs 9 for LaSalle. In theory, top 16 means state qualifiers (LaSalle also has an 18th ranked wrestler). LaSalle surprisingly beat Eds in a dual last year. The odds are against them to do so at the State tourny, but 12 points is what I'd call slight favorite, with 10 or under being a tossup. Tournaments never go as seeded or ranked, but it's the best predictor that we have. Smart money is on Eds, but it could be close.

The interesting thing about these two teams is that they both return the bulk of their lineups next year. Eds losing only 3 ranked wrestlers to graduation and LaSalle 1.

What you see now may not be what you see in March. Two months off things could change.

Correct. The most interesting thing is a look at how many returnees each of these teams have. That surprised me. They are the two best D1 programs and both return the bulk of their lineup.

To clarify on Grunden - I have not heard a for sure answer, but since he hasn't wrestled, I added in Bischoff for now

I hear Grunden will likely be back next week/weekend.

Also, it seems Crace will be at Elyria (Someone pointed out to me his twitter says Elyria)
