I don't think I've been since I lived in Clifton. It was good but the waffles are expensive for how small they are.

I think I'd rather go to Cinci.

Kind of a plan to spend a few days there this summer, do the drive-cation thing. Cinci is the one big Ohio city I've not seen other than a drive past and have gotten some good ideas from Yappi threads..

Got a free flier in the mail today for a free burrito with no purchase necessary. Don't know if it's going on in any other areas but I'd be on the look out.

He just flips out on anything not glowingly positive about a Westside eatery.

Mike's Place (corner of 43 & 261 near Kent).

"Cheeseburger in Paradise" omelet - an omelet stuffed with a large amount of ground beef, bacon, ham, and cheese with a side of hash browns and toast. Portion was more than adequate, service was OK, hash browns were a bit undercooked for my taste.

6.5/8

I haven't been to Mike's Place in a couple years. Always enjoyed going there because the food was reasonably priced and the place was very unique. Unfortunately, the rest of my family isn't real big on the place.

BW3 (Kent)

6/8

Good food. Good atmosphere. Much better environment since they moved to the new location a couple years ago. Food is even better too. Only real negative is the parking can be a pain. (thanks stupid Jimmy John's delivery drivers who park anywhere!!)

My cousins worked there during HS and college. I believe their future wives also worked there.

I had never been there before, and I definitely didn't leave hungry. I would definitely go again and try one of their burgers.

The novelty of the place seems to wear off for my kids just about the time they too big to play on the Allerton Fields. By the time they are big enough to play at Schoonover, they seem to want to go to Ray's or Fresco or Panini's afterward. You can only be impressed by a life-sized X-wing Fighter so many times, I guess. It looks like the "Pickers" guys decorated the inside. I appreciate the old signs.

I will have to try breakfast at Mike's after I kick a kid out to warm up some morning this summer. A few tournament games will be over that way, no doubt.

Fuddruckers (Myrtle Beach)

6.5/8

It's been a while since I've been to a Fuddruckers. The price was still relatively cheap and the food was good.

If you are in Myrtle Beach, you should check out Dick's Last Resort restaurant. If you have never been to one of those before, it's a good time. Gotta have a sense of humor.

WEnt to the one in Newopart last year.

Yeah, fun, but a ripoff.

No menu's, had to try and hear the waitress yell what they had to offer. She tried to do it at 2 diff tables at once and couldnt hear a damned thing. Said part of the menu is posted on some of the walls. Ordered the food, asked what salad dressing ya want and when ya get the bill they charged like $5 per salad which everyone assumed was part of the meal.

Ordered some drink, said we didnt want that one and would bring a much better one. the one she brought was like $25 each. I had like $175 in cash with me.....and it came to $170 which I coudlnt freaking believe. Didnt mind giving only 5 as a tip and wrote on the receipt how I felt they ripped everyone off.

but it was a fairly fun time up till then
