I have to say it's been pretty entertaining watching FIFA cannibalize itself the past few months.

I'm more focused on the Columbus Crew and their MLS playoff performance. FIFA can stuff it for the time being.

Stopped by the local HS soccer tournament game last saturday.
Still was boring and only lasted about 15 minutes.

The Crew won the first leg of the Eastern Conference final against New York Red Bulls, 2-0. Portland likewise beat Dallas 3-1 in the WC.
If Columbus and Portland advance, the MLS Cup final will be played in Columbus.

The latest Stamford Bridge redesign proposal, 60,000 seats with Chelsea playing somewhere else for three seasons. Pretty ugly imo

Hideous. Not sure what they're thinking with that design

The vast majority of people seem to really like it, from what I'm reading.

Seems like it would be pretty easy to change the outer shell of the design. Interior and size of the stadium are what's important. They should have gone with something like St. James Park model. Pretty simple and looks awesome but still has the classic English look.

I think it will look better in person. The brick is nice.
Anyone heading to Columbus this Sunday for the MLS Cup Final?

Portland Timbers win their first MLS Cup. Very deserving franchise with a magnificent fanbase that built their team up the right way.

Pretty wild game and I thought the crowd/atmosphere at Crew Stadium came across well on TV. BTW, the ref redefined the concept of "letting them play" that's for sure.

That first goal was horrible. Pick the thing up.

Euro 2016 kicked off today in France.
So far, France defeated Romania 2-1 in the opener, and Switzerland topped Albania 1-0 in Albania's first ever Euro match.
Wales vs Slovakia begins in about 20 minutes.
England vs Russia at 3pm.
All matches are on ESPN.

Nice to see Wales get their first ever Euro win. Going to be tough sledding against England and Russia, but anything can happen in rivalries.

The US hasn't looked very good since the WC. I'm not confident they'll win tonight.

I'm sure the drunken English hooligans will accept the draw in their usual subdued, courteous and peaceful manner.

Apparently it was the Russian fans who were instigating problems after the game

The Russians instigated? I expected the English fans to cause the trouble.
Meanwhile, USA trying to hold on against Paraguay playing a man down.
Two great saves by Guzan around the 81st minute.
USA!

I'm sure the English fans didn't help matters but I've read the Russians started the problems.
Yedlin getting a red is really bad. What a dumb move.
Guzan has to be the MOTM if they pull this out

Six minutes stoppage time? WTF? I don't know if I've ever seen that much.
