Ohio State Women's Soccer excitement

I believe that Ohio State Women's Soccer and Lori Walker are excited or are more excited then the past.

tOSU just announced a signing class of 13 and there is actually somebody from an Ohio school on this team. Surprised to see 3 players from the Ann Arbor backyard coming to tOSU. (http://www.ohiostatebuckeyes.com/spo...020617aaa.html)

tOSU also announced a new assistant coach, Brian Jankowski, formerly of UD (http://www.ohiostatebuckeyes.com/spo...012717aaa.html). I think this hire will have positive returns.

And the last reason I believe that tOSU is excited, they have their upcoming Spring schedule posted with games against Louisville, Kent State, Ohio University, TTUN and Pitt. (http://www.ohiostatebuckeyes.com/spo...cer-sched.html)

Could tOSU be women's college soccer school destination as WVU and Penn State have become?

Having Brian as an assistant, should give more in roads to Ohio recruits. So, that could be a plus for some area girls. However, by my count, that puts their roster at close to 30 players or so. So, just like college football and other D1 soccer programs, the question is how many of the 13 will ever see the field? As long as they remember that this paying for all or part of their tuition, and the main goal is to graduate, they should be OK.

everal Tri-state schools have signing classes of 8-10. I know the average D1 roster size is 28. Is the turnover rate that high at the D1 level?

Her turnover rate - of both players and assistants - is pretty high.

Not Likely!

By the look of it in this region Notre Dame would be the likely favorite choice with Penn State second and WVU an extreme third. OSU is still a favorite to make the NCAA Tournament.

Overall:
In the last 10 years:
North Carolina, USC, UCLA, Stanford, Florida State and Duke seem to have figured out how to make it to the Final Four and Finals of the Division I Tournament with UNC winning 4 of the last 10 Championships and 21 out of 35 inclusive.
