Summit County Top 10

Now that the season has begun, who are the top 10 teams in Summit County?

You're correct, both in Medina County. Not sure who else to put in the discussion.

Absolutely. Haven't had a chance to watch them yet but I liked what I saw during scrimmages. Bainbridge and McMurray much improved from a year ago.

No argument there. I do believe they lost a bit more than 1 starter though. Good games indeed!

While I'm not sure what they have returning, CVCA is well coached and generally a very good team.

Stow takes on Wadsworth tonight at Stow. Going to watch since might be one of the few chances to see high school hoops this year.

Will opine later.

Was referring more towards St V, Jackson, Lake, and Whitehall. With the style of basketball they play Tallmadge always is a tough game though

If Ellet can shoot like that every game, I'm going to have to put Ellet near the top in Summit County. Just amazing their 3-point shooting, their backups were better than their starters.

Their backup shooters are definitely better shooters. Jones Ana AJ are pretty lethal there too... Alfred Johnson is the key to everything for them... averaging around 10 blocks a game

Stow 71
Wadsworth 69

Was a great game. Kudos to Wadsworth..came out and punched Stow in the face, taking a 11-0 lead in the first 4 minutes. Wadsworth is very scrappy team with some very nice shooters, and they play EXTREMELY WELL together. They are going to win some games this year, and next year, watch out. Only one senior, and he plays sparingly.

Stow surprised me with their athletic ability and size as a team. Both of their bigs have tremendous talent..no lumbering big guys here. The 6'7" sophomore Bainbridge had a nice game with 13 points, including a fastbreak dunk to ignite the crowd. He has nice passing skills and can shoot the ball, hitting a pair of 3-pointers and great touch on FTs.

The 6'7" junior, Mason McMurry, showed crazy skills and athletic ability. Had a 360 follow-up slam dunk that was waved off due to a foul. Also threw a few no-look passes and also showed he can shoot the ball from long range as well as FTs. Was in foul trouble most of the evening and ended up with 9.

Stow has a lot of size and athletic ability and can score in a hurry and with flair in transition. They come at you with waves of guys 6'3" and taller.
THey need to play smarter and come out with more intensity, but it could be a fun season for Stow if they keep improving.

1. SVSM
2. Hoban
3. Ellet
4. Copley
5. Woodridge
6. Stow
7. Buchtel
8. Coventry
9. Tallmadge
10. Kenmore

Two teams that have me scratching my head are Stow and Barberton. Stow has been really inconsistent and Barberton looked really good early, not sure what happened to them.

I don't think Tallmadge is as high as #7, but that being said I'm not sure how you have Barberton in front of them. Tallmadge has better record AND beat Barberton. Aside from that, I think you're missing StV and Hoban on your list
