Yeah I don't want anything changed. The typical winning score seems to be 3-4 goals which is just fine imo. Defensive games are just as exciting in hockey. I don't want to see 10 goals every game, that would be ridiculous. Again the NHL is trying to gain more "casual" fans which will probably never happen anyway instead of listening to what the diehard fans want and leaving things alone.

Also it seems like Bettman is trying to hit the brakes on expansion for now. Probably not a good time to do it in Quebec City with the Canadian dollar being so weak, although the arena there is sweet

They're one of the more irrelevant sports franchises in America. NHL games are awesome though, have fun.

I imagine it wouldn't hurt Quebec anymore than Winnipeg.

If/when Quebec returns, I hope they're the Nordiques and use the classic logo and similar uniforms. The proposed logo and uniform changes they had before the move to Colorado were bad.

Thanks. Snagged some decent club seats for cheap. Will be wearing my Cincinnati Cyclones shirt in support of hockey.

Good call for them to halt expansion right now.

I can enjoy low scoring hockey games like I do great pitched baseball games. Some soccer nuts ask what is the difference between a 1-0 hockey and soccer game?

Many things, of course, but the biggest is all the SOG's where potential goals can be had whereas soccer games just dont see that many legit shots on goal.

Nothing like a goalie putting on a show. Watch Carey Price play and tell me that's not exciting

Twice I have taken a friend to their first NHL game, first hockey game really.

One got a show....5-4, a number of fights. All around electic game.

The other....1-0 affair and I am pretty sure they said it was the least SOG by both teams in a game in franchise history, zero fistacuffs, and to be honest....was quite boring even for me!

Pens look like a completely different team compared to when Montreal played them last

The Wednesday night rivalry thing is getting to be a pretty dumb moniker. Habs are Pens are not rivals

Yeah, Johnston hasn't been afraid to shake up the lines to find things that work. I thought he'd be a failure but he's doing well.

There are exciting low scoring games and non-exciting games, just like baseball. Making the Nets bigger would be incredibly dumb though. Fighting is essentially dead in hockey now save for the playoffs and minor leagues, so you better enjoy the game play or hockey is just not for you.

I wanted to buy a Joe Sakic shirt when I was in QC two years ago but then I remembered they were huge rivals with Montreal. Great logo and color scheme though, Nordiques merchandise is all over up there

I like them to return because they'd probably suck for awhile and would be an easy punching bag within the division. Would also be a sweet road trip to drive up and see a Habs game in MTL then another in QC

I think some newbies may go wanting to see a fight, and then really enjoy the actual game play and become fans.

Watch minor league hockey then, beer is cheaper too

I've watched probably 50 games this year and I can't remember the last time I saw a fight

I pretty much go strictly to minor league games, mostly in Ft Wayne Indiana. The komets get great crowds, usually avg double what most the rest of the league does.

Go to dayton as well but the last couple of teams there (Gems, Demonz and now the team this year...forget the name) play at the crappy Hara Arena. Historical site...but man is it a dump.

Toledo's new place for the Walleye is fantastic. Took after ML baseball's lead of making miniature big league venues.
An OSU game on occasion, a couple of times at Bowling green as well.

NHL...just too expensive, but fun. Then the jackets started that value added pricing for the premium games. Remember a number of years ago they Pens and Jackets were in last place and they had that extra pricing......BS! I know it isnt premium games...but the games they can get the most fans to and charge more!

They updated it a number of years ago. Where the top row is they put in suites on both sides above it, and then another level on top of that one.

Forgot about the Clones..saw them once down there. Did see the Mighty ducks twice in the Gardens. They had guarentee win night, and lost, so ya got a freebie for any of their next couple home games.

I prefer attending minor league hockey/baseball games. Cheaper, can usually get a great seat, and all round just a fun atmosphere. Dragons, Wizards, oops, tin caps in ft wayne. Good times.

Had a blast at the game last night. Hurricanes totally blew it and lost in OT but I caught a t-shirt from when the cheerleaders were sling shottin' them around the arena so it was a pretty successful trip.

That's more than I've accomplished in my whole life.

Habs finally got Price back and now look dominant again. Swept the home and home v/s the Isles. Really big game against the Rangers on Wednesday night at MSG. Top two teams in the NHL.

Canadiens obliterate New York 5-1. Made them look slow.

Price is hurt again though, so that sucks. Don't know severity.

No consistency from the Penguins right now. They need to add some defense.

Sucks for him. Kept him out last season as well.

For the Pens, hopefully this allows Daniel Sprong to play a bit.

Penguins fire Mike Johnston, replaced him with Mike Sullivan. Sullivan coached their AHL affiliate, Wilkes-Barre/Scranton.

Preliminary U.S. World Cup of Hockey roster announced today:

Goalies
Ben Bishop, Tampa Bay Lightning
Jonathan Quick, Los Angeles Kings
Cory Schneider, New Jersey Devils

Defensemen
Dustin Byfuglien, Winnipeg Jets
John Carlson, Washington Capitals
Ryan McDonagh, New York Rangers
Ryan Suter, Minnesota Wild

Forwards
Justin Abdelkader, Detroit Red Wings
Patrick Kane, Chicago Blackhawks
Ryan Kesler, Anaheim Ducks
T.J. Oshie, Washington Capitals
Max Pacioretty, Montreal Canadiens
Zach Parise, Minnesota Wild
Joe Pavelski, San Jose Sharks
Derek Stepan, New York Rangers
Blake Wheeler, Winnipeg Jets

Pretty solid team. Can't believe they can't do better than Abdelkader, though.

Johnny Gaudreau made the "Team North America", a team made up of young players. Would have made more sense to have a Team Quebec, IMO.

Canada:
Goalies
Corey Crawford, Chicago Blackhawks
Braden Holtby, Washington Capitals
Carey Price, Montreal Canadiens

Defensemen
Drew Doughty, Los Angeles Kings
Duncan Keith, Chicago Blackhawks
Marc-Edouard Vlasic, San Jose Sharks
Shea Weber, Nashville Predators

Forwards
Jamie Benn, Dallas Stars
Patrice Bergeron, Boston Bruins
Jeff Carter, Los Angeles Kings
Sidney Crosby, Pittsburgh Penguins
Ryan Getzlaf, Anaheim Ducks
Tyler Seguin, Dallas Stars
Steven Stamkos, Tampa Bay Lightning
John Tavares, New York Islanders
Jonathan Toews, Chicago Blackhawks

Sweden:
Goalies
Henrik Lundqvist, New York Rangers
Jacob Markstrom, Vancouver Canucks

Defensemen

Oliver Ekman-Larsson, Arizona Coyotes
Victor Hedman, Tampa Bay Lightning
Niklas Hjalmarsson, Chicago Blackhawks
Erik Karlsson, Ottawa Senators
Niklas Kronwall, Detroit Red Wings
Anton Stralman, Tampa Bay Lightning

Forwards
Nicklas Backstrom, Washington Capitals
Loui Eriksson, Boston Bruins
Filip Forsberg, Nashville Predators
Gabriel Landeskog, Colorado Avalanche
Daniel Sedin, Vancouver Canucks
Henrik Sedin, Vancouver Canucks
Alexander Steen, St. Louis Blues
Henrik Zetterberg, Detroit Red Wings

Russia:
Goalies
Sergei Bobrovsky, Columbus Blue Jackets
Semyon Varlamov, Colorado Avalanche
Andrei Vasilevskiy, Tampa Bay Lightning

Defensemen
Dmitry Kulikov, Florida Panthers
Andrei Markov, Montreal Canadiens
Dmitry Orlov, Washington Capitals

Forwards
Artem Anisimov, Chicago Blackhawks
Pavel Datsyuk, Detroit Red Wings
Nikita Kucherov, Tampa Bay Lightning
Nikolay Kulemin, New York Islanders
Evgeny Kuznetsov, Washington Capitals
Evgeni Malkin, Pittsburgh Penguins
Vladislav Namestnikov, Tampa Bay Lightning
Alex Ovechkin, Washington Capitals
Artemi Panarin, Chicago Blackhawks
Vladimir Tarasenko, St. Louis Blues
