Compression Shorts

Last year we made the move to have all boys use the Nike Filament compression short as part of their uniform. Of course this year Nike decides to discontinue that model. The replacement "Power" model seem much more like an undergarment than a uniform bottom, like the Filament model.

Are any schools out there using the Nike Power compression shorts as part of their competition uniform?

CoventryTrackXCguy is an unknown quantity at this point
At our school, we no longer maintain an official model for our shorts. There was too much conflict on what kind of shorts and the preferred length. Finally coach was like, "fine! You provide the shorts that suits you. The standard is the color black, the preferred brand is nike. Well just save the uniform allowance and use it on better tops." So we did.

I can't imagine anybody would ever question it, but...

We also have gone to the kids buying them. We provide them to purchase.

The #1 reason--gross. Who wants to pass down compression shorts, booty shorts or tights? Nobody. It is a hygiene issue 100%.

#2 reason--every kid likes a different length. And every kid is a different size.

We have offered multiple short options. The all black uniform short or wear your own. Loose or compression. Solid black is The rule.
