Rayvon Griffith will announce his high school choice May 17th

Not a big fan of this at all. But its a new era in high school sports in 2019. Hopefully he makes a good decision on what high school he picks

Thoughts........

This is stupid, but it's not the kid's fault. He's learned from plenty of morons before him.

His entourage and outside influences are going to be difficult to deal with for any school.

Any they are going to ruin him... or at least severely hamper him from reaching his full potential

Is it guaranteed that he stays in state?

Any chance he goes to Centerville given the Cupps connection?

I don't understand why they are holding a conference about this other than to drum up media attention for Oyler. Oyler fired Lanis Timmons so they could hire Rayvon's AAU coach.

Is that Orukotan? Chris O'Brien is listed at the Oyler coach (also the AD) right now...

I know very little to nothing about any of this situation so just trying to get and idea of whats going on.

Tremaine Dees is the new coach.

Thereís also good guys that work with him. However, they canít keep tabs on him like his adult entourage.

TBH, Iím surprised about the public nature of this announcement, bc from what I know about him, heís pretty low key, not really an attention seeker.

What are the odds this decision is changed before the school year? This kind of attention seeking behavior for an 8th grader has the potential to not work out well in the future. I hope there are some decent adults guiding him.

Rayvon Griffith has chosen the highly recognized educational institution of Hughes high school. Good luck Rayvon.

Their coach is a good man and theyíve already got one stud on the team. I desperately wanted him at Elder for selfish reasons, but if Iím honest, this is the best decision for him.

So Oyler got rid of their coach and hired his AAU coach and then he’s not going to Oyler?

I donít know if he is a great man or not. I know Macmillan only lasted a year there. I know he goes to Puerto Rico and tries to get kids to move up here. None of that changes the fact that Hughes is bottom 10 worst high schools in Ohio for education

Not sure why they keep listing this kid as 14. He is a really athletically gifted 15 year old and I'm looking forward to seeing how he does the next 4 years. Hughes is def good for his style of play and now that Levar Ball and is ego is leaving Hughes it will be fun to watch the CMAC battles.

Oyler could not have messed this thing up anymore than they did.. They got rid of Coach Timmons to bring in his AAU coach Tremaine Dees. Dees was not able to procure the proper licensing so he can't be a Coach. Leaving the door open for TG to go to Hughes. Oh and now Paul is going to transfer to Woodward so dad can have all the control of his son instead of forming a team that could win multiple state titles.

There is a rumor that Coach Mitch is going back to coach at Taft. These big-time players should go to Taft if that is the case. Probably not be a better coach both on and off the court for those kids than that guy.

Not sure of the details, but there's a good chance neither McMillan nor Griffith end up at Hughes or Woodward....will it be Taft, i do not know, but I've heard some things indicating the destinations for both are far from a done deal.

More like ready to bounce. He made a push to get the withrow job again and was turned down. Plus we all know heís not staying at deer park after wise and jr. Graduate.

I heard the same that Dees couldnít get the right liscensing, thatís BS. Unless he couldnít pass background. Everything else is just getting certifications. Money says heís the new assistant at Hughes.
