All good choices above. I like turkey soup prepared on Friday. By Monday the pieces of turkey have absorbed the taste of all the add vegetables and spices.

As stated above, meatloaf, chili are fantastic the day after pretty much as is. Lasagna is as well, but after a day or so more sauce/cheese needs t to be added.

Used to make this mexi salad on the stove and that also was as good, if not better, on day two

geez I think my list of what tastes better just cooked would be a lot shorter.

Almost anything out of the oven other than a pure meat seems to taste better to me after a few days rest. Casseroles, pies, cakes..

All of the above are great. I'd add pizza. There is always mom's chili and the wife's chicken paprikas.

Agree on all kinds of casserole minus any seafood. Why anyone would eat day old seafood is beyond me?

I know that I will be in the minority on this one but I like chocolate chip cookies that are a day old. Fresh out of the oven are good but I think they taste alot better when they get cooled down and become a little bit crisper.

Left over pizza is good, but nowhere near as good (or better) than first cooked like many of these items.

I am the king of leftovers, just how I was raised, and love seafood but yeah, no seafood leftovers for me.

yup, more fresh sauce

Just like fresh mashed potatoes with the pork and kraut, and a fresh cornbread with the reheated chili

Since college I've had a thing for leftover Pizza Hut thin crust meat lovers. Turkey noodle soup after Thanksgiving is a classic, too.

Wife just came back home, saw my last post on my screen, and busted me for a pre-meditated crime. Bummer.

All of the above are good. My first thought was spaghetti. I can eat second day spaghetti or pizza, re-heated or cold for any meal of the day, including breakfast.

Just about any tomato sauce based food tastes better the next day: chili, pizza, spaghetti, lasagna, etc.

When I was a kid, my father used to swoon when eating re-heated spaghetti, but it never caught on with me.

I must be some kind of communist. I can't think of any food that tastes better the next day, re-heated or not. Not that it's bad, but it's just not quite as good as when it was fresh.

Oh heavens no, chocolate chip cookies are never bad, but the ones about 5 minutes out of the oven are the best!

Same here. Preferably re-heated though, and with second day spaghetti, I like to add a little red hot to the mix

I’ve been using my stove (low temp/longer is better) to reheat stuff a lot more lately than the microwave. Waiting 20 minutes isn’t convenient but the taste difference is huge.

(Pizza is the best, because you can eat a piece or two cold while the rest reheats)

Things brings up another topic.

Leftover pizza:
Warm up or just eat cold?

I really hate it warmed up. As a matter of fact, and I know its not the healthiest, but I prefer it room temperature. I wont put it in the fridge, just keep it in the box. Don't like it cold either!

Grosses my wife out, but I like to pop a big bowl of popcorn in the evening. If I don't finish it, I will eat the rest in the morning, after it sits out all night.

Popcorn is one of my many vices. I will still pour oil and salt into a pot and pour in the kernels and pop it on the stove like grandpa did.
