The Islanders had Leo Komarov on the top line for a significant portion of the year, managed to get the 4th seed in the playoffs and just swept the Penguins. Barry Trotz is the goddamn man, he should win the Jack Adams award but unfortunately it'll probably go to Cooper. What a crazy night

When CBJ came along I was already an established Pens fan so with them being in the West I considered them my fav western team and no interference with the Pens in the east. Would go to see the pens in Col often. Since they came to the east that has simmered down quite a bit as we are now competitors.

WIth that said, It was cool to see them winning a series last night. It was sort of like watching your little brother whom you always beat on over the years be successful.

Now will jump on that CBJ bandwagon for the series as their fans and franchise is hungry for this, unlike other franchises that seem to take it for granted.

Strong showing from Canadian teams this year

How long of a leash is Babcock going to get with this group before Toronto eventually lets him go? That's three straight first round losses after a pretty disappointing regular season this year. With the skill on this team they should be in the ECF at the very least.

Knights vs Sharks G7 is next, going to try to stay up and watch it just hoping for no OT.

San Jose and Vegas was a game for the ages. SJ in OT. After being down 3 zip SJ scores 4 goals on a 5 minute major. Vegas ties it up with less than 2 to go and then SJ wins in OT with maybe 2 to go.

Last I remember there was 11 minutes to go, Vegas up 3-0 and I wondered to myself if I was at a game like this on a work night would I leave early?

THen I woke up with 30 seconds to go and it was 4-4!. ZOned out through OT and man I am pissed I missed all the good stuff.

Well the Capitals are back to choking in Game 7s again. Carolina onto round 2. Extremely fun playoffs so far.

The Caps lose game 7. Guess it is fitting that the two Cup finalists last year go out on successive nights.

It's a shame the Isles are moving the games back to Brooklyn again for the next series. Barclays Center is the worst building in the NHL and the Coliseum was rocking for round one. Yet another shining example of NHL management

I am not a huge hockey fan, but that had to be one of the more exciting rounds ever.

Stunned at Carolina.

Don't like the Caps at all and love when they lose early in the SCP!

Can the Jackets overcome the rust?

Hate to see that momentum wane they had the last 7-8 games of the regular season and the 4 in the playoffs.

I imagine the intensity will be fine. What may be affected is execution for a few minutes or even a period (passes slightly off target instead of tape to tape). Important for Bob to come out super-sharp.

Same here. Really enjoyed the Canes' last two games though.

Hopefully, the team's attendance figures will go up next year as a result.

I missed all 4 goals of the game but unfortunately caught the OT.

I typically have 3 games going on at the same time so it is not unusual for me to miss a goal. Last night: BlueJackets game, Reds game, Sidney vs Springfield HS tournament game.

I think this is my downfall as well. One sports event on tv, another on the laptop and posting at the same time. I wonder how much I really enjoy either of the games "watching" that way.

(I have done three events at one time and found that is more than my little pea brain can handle)!

The Barclays Center is an embarrassment to the NHL. Ice is in terrible shape, camera angle is terrible, tons of empty seats and one end of the arena cannot see the goal. Smh

I have to watch multiple games.... and sometimes I will have 3 games going as well as my music... I need the chaos...

I have 3 TV's in my living room, well, actually 4 but the 4th one is for my old Atari 400 just in case I get the niche to play some Pac-Man or Centipede or something.... right now got the Isles on 1, Reds getting ready on the 2nd... 3rd is off but laptop will have an Arkansas State football title game on it here in a bit. Yes, I have a problem but I enjoy it!

The ONLY time I put more than one tv in a room was a number of years ago to watch the NCAA tournament and the invasion of Iraq, the shock and awwww.

Would work the PIP screen swap button to death though over the years.

It is so much better watching the end of these games over an NBA, or even college hoops game, that is close late. Hockey has so much action and it isnt cluttered with TOs at the end.
