Small plates, so it's better if you and the people you are with like trying multiple things. I like it alot though.

Honestly, the place I've eaten probably more than any other is Bob Evan's.

If we're in the mood for meat it's going to be Jeff Ruby's in downtown Cincinnati on the high end and on the low end any of several good local bar/restaurants.

For Seafood it's Pelican's Reef on Beechmont Ave. in Anderson Township. You won't believe you are in the midwest with how good the seafood is at this place.

For fried chicken livers or a good fish log Lake Nina's. A real hole in the wall but good food. Hot slaw is really good here.

My father in-law made the statement more than once that he felt that it was the husband's job to work hard to make the wife happy. Trust me I do not go near as far as he did, but when it comes to eating out I have found that if my wife is happy with the restaurant the meal can be much more pleasant. Therefore I work at finding the place she is happy with at the time.

This is absolutely true.

It is also best to not suggest any places you truly want to go because they will get canned. If the wife does ask, give a few places you don't want to so and just hope and pray she finally selects a place you really did want to go.

I am going to start stepping in a bit more going forward and severely limit the high end places. The dollar-to-deliciousness doesn't equate the higher up the chain you go.

I remember when College Inn was in the old house. Seating was at a premium. They have great sandwiches and I get the fresh cut fries.

Yes, Polinori's. I always get gnocci and strip steak. I love their flavored spread.

I can't remember the name of the Caribbean place, but it seems like there's a different restaurant in that building each month.

One of the first "knock out questions" I had when i was in the dating game was their cuisine choices. Typically I roll with a Mexican place.

I also like to play the knock out game with dates. Or random girls in bars who leave their drink unattended. Whatever, I'm not picky

You have no idea what a great life I have had with this woman I am lucky enough to call my wife. We raised 4 children, have 13 grand kids and 11 great grand kids. You really should feel sorry for my wife she has put up with me for a whole lot of years, I do not know how old you are but I hope when you are my age you to can say how great life has been with your better half.

This comment was promising until the bolded part ended....who else was wondering what kind of a freak Al’s father in law was?
