Beavercreek upsets Huber Heights Wayne, 54-53

Beavercreek (Maxpreps state rank 206) upset Huber Heights Wayne (Maxpreps state rank 9), 54-53 on December 5. Alyssa Hall led Creek with 21, including a 3-point play to give the Beavers a one-point lead with 7 seconds left in the game. A Wayne layup was waived off for charging, as time expired.

A great win for the Battling Beavers, I am not surprised Zink is still one of the best around. Its alway difficult to win in Beavercreek well at least on the girls side. Alyssa Hall is one of the most underrated players in the area and region. At 5'8 she has a high motor and IQ and passes the ball extremely well. Maybe the warriors got caught sleeping, it happens!

Wayne did play sloppy in the first half, they had several turnovers due to carelessness with the ball. It seemed like Creek stepped it up on the boards in the second half, and started to get second looks that they didn't get in the first half, and just kept hanging in there until they made a couple big plays late to get in front just before the buzzer.
