What Movies Did You Watch in December 2018?

As a horror movie junkie, I come across a lot of off beat Horror movies as well as the run in the mill straight to video. I will share my thoughts of the ones that I see this month. So, if you seen a movie new or old and want to share your thoughts go ahead, and if its horror, even better!!!!

I will edit in my horror views here with my rating scale on how I liked it.....

8 = Donnie Darko
7 = Excellent !!!!!
6 = Great
5 = pretty Good
4 = OK/Good
3 = not good
2 = Bad
1 = Unwatchable

==========================================

#3829 The Twilight People (Philippines - 1972) ... 2.0/8

#3830 Student Bodies (US-1981) ... 2.5/8

#3831 Saw 8: Jigsaw (US-2017) ... 5.5/8

#3832 Exposure (US-2018) ... 3.5/8

Saw 8: Jigsaw (2017)

Horror: It has been 10 years since the apparent death of Jigsaw but now a new game has started. Many did not like this one but to me it is Saw and I will find something to like about it.... give me 8 more!!!! .... 5.5/8

Exposure (2018)

Horror: A couple head out to the mountains to reconcile differences but experience something that is just "off". Low budget and a bit corny, most will not like but I can respect what it is.... 3.5/8

Christmas Carol (2010) 6/8 This is probably my favorite version of the movie. I think Jim Carrey playing a lot of the characters is great and the animation is outstanding. This is a holiday staple in my house since my kids really like it too.

Christmas Vacation 8/8 I know many will disagree but this is easily my favorite "Vacation" movie and also my favorite Christmas movie. I've seen it countless times and I laugh my butt off every time.

Outlaw King 5/8 It's not a sequel, but it's kind of a follow up to Braveheart. It follows Robert the Bruce and his battles with England post the William Wallace rebellion. It makes several mentions of Wallace throughout. It's kind of slow, but when the action picks up its great. The battle scenes are very graphic, similar to Braveheart, but there were too many slow spots that seemed to lose my attention.

I will not disagree.

Is Outlaw King the Netflix Movie with Chris Pine as Robert the Bruce? I was waiting for an opinion or two before I jumped in. Thanks.

American Animals (2018): Entertaining true-crime thriller about four bored college students who hatch a plan to rob a university library of its collection of rare books. Each believes this one opportunity to acquire life-changing wealth will satisfy a strong desire to achieve purpose in life. Like how the film interweaves the actorsí scenes with interviews from the real-life participants.

Tombstone (1993) 7/8 One of my favorite westerns with an all-star cast. I love Val Kilmer as Doc Holiday and Kurt Russell as Wyatt Earp. Plenty of action and gunfights and a couple of classic scenes. My favorite is when Russell challenges Billy Bob Thorton in the casino and Thorton, playing the tough guy, punks out.

Man Who Would Be King (1975) - My wife is attracted to Sean Connery, only slightly less than her attraction to me. So, I though she would sit thought this adventure/action film with me. I was wrong she bailed half way through. Based on Rudyard Kiplings short story it is an adventure film crafted by John Huston and starring the the afore mentioned Connery and Michael Caine. It is a good all round film and I enjoyed seeing these two friends in real life working together.

Tammy (2014) 5.5/8 Melissa McCarthy plays the lovable loser on a trip to Niagra Falls with her alcoholic grandmother (Susan Sarandon). A couple of smaller roles played by Dan Aykroyd and Kathie Bates add to the movie. This is one of McCarthy's better movies with plenty of laughs.

That surprises me. Did you go see the re-editon that is PG-13 or the original? I like the Deadpool movies, they're not the best, but I wouldn't call them anywhere near unwatchable.
