He promised his mother. He and Cousins both had been previously taking online classes at UK. Pretty sure Boogie wont finish

I know it is a tough concept to understand but take your time, you will grasp it by 2020
only a few do this arrogate. think of the guys who leave college early and end up playing in the G league or overseas their entire career.

Pretty darned excited about my Sixers. Picked up Tobias Harris and he fits in nice.
Boban Marjanovich is a great backup for Embiid as well. This team's depth is a little thin, but the bench is TJ, Boban, Ennis, Scott and Kormatz. The bench shortens in the playoffs anyway, and I think Brett can massage the minutes so that 2/3 starters will always be on the floor. I liked the rotation Sunday vs. the Lakers. Now it's not a great defensive team, but when you can score, that's what works in today's NBA.

Oh, what is the attraction of Carmello Anthony?? Every struggling team is mentioned in bringing Melo in? Why? He's been nothing but a dud for 5+ years? He's made good teams bad and bad teams worse.

Lakers halt their Melo talks...it sounds like they're (rightly) concerned about being on the wrong side of the playoff bubble and struggling at the moment while adding him to the mix.

Do or die week for LA IMO. Nuggets, Clippers and Celtics on the slate. With the way they've been trending, you can stick a fork in them if they don't get at least one win this week.

I am beginning to wonder when Lebron decides to shut it down for the season.

The Lakers are done. The LeBron effect has been a failure in Hollywood.

Do you think Philly would be better off with Saric and Covington right now than they are with Butler? After adding Harris, it seems like those two would fit better, plus add much needed depth

Calling Portland right now as my dark horse in the playoffs.

They need to get up to that 3rd seed though to avoid Golden State in second round

Oh heavens no. Saric And Covington are nice pieces, Butler and Harris are all star caliber players. The nice thing about the Sixers is they have multiple players who can carry them in stretches during games. Yesterday, it was Embiid early and Butler closeing. Harris is a nice complimentary player. He doesn't need a ton of shots and he defends.
I think the Sixer defense is much better now than before. They went into Milwaukee and won yesterday. It was like their 7th game together since all of the trades, so they are still figuring things out.

Imagine getting a christmas present, a ticket to the Bucks/ Lakers game last night in Milwaukee, a chance to see LeBron and Giannis going head to head...

Now imagine actually showing up at the game last night, only to find NEITHER was playing???

These are the things that tick fans off...

Awful injury last night for Portland. Nurkic fractures his leg in multiple places, after having one of the best games of his career. McCollum out with an injury as well. Really sucks

Gruesome injury, saw it happen last night. Fighting for home court advantage and this happens. Injuries suck, man.

Welp, no one with much sense really expected them to win big already this year, and if there is any pro sport in which an instant reboot can work it's the NBA, but it's not looking like a good bet next year at the moment.

Ah...c'mon now...go back and look there were many who said they'd be a top 4-5 team in the west, especially after LeBron brought in his boys. The whole Anthony Davis trade talk submarined the young guys and the season was an epic fail. The Lakers were in better shape after last season moving forward, without LeBron, than they are now.

I definitely thought they'd make the playoffs, probably as a 6 or 7 seed.

I still think they would have if LeBron hadn't gotten hurt. His injury plus the attempt to trade everyone on the team derailed the season

Just about everyone I can recall expected them to make the playoffs but not challenge the top 2-3 teams in the west.

Most of those aren't saying the Lakers would be 4-5 in the West.

You can't fault people for not predicting LeBron would get injured for the first time in his career.

Ok, let's get this cranked up for the playoffs!!! What's everyone think? Sixers/ Nets 1-1, Warriors/ Clips 1-1, DeMarcus Cousins maybe done for the playoffs? Magic upset the Raptors in game 1.
