I heard alot of negative things about the DB's, but they had very good coverage on the pass plays Arlington ran. Very impressive performance all around by the Panthers. Hope they can pull a shocker this week!
I wouldn't call it a "shocker." Eds is unbeaten, but they have played 3 teams on the level of Upper Arlington. Its going to be a battle, but at this point both teams seem pretty even. I hope my slight optimism doesn't end up jinxing the Panthers.

I can't get why X is ahead of us... We need this statement will vs. Eds, IMO the biggest game of the year. We need to beat them, and X will lose to Trinity this week.

X apparently has some serious issues on defense. Let Elder fly under the radar, hopefully they can surprise some people, starting this week.

X is ranked ahead of Elder because of how they have fared vs. a much better schedule to this point.

Ed's beat Glenville in week#1. This is Glenville's only loss. Ed's other 2 wins are over winless teams.

I am not going to discredit Eds. They are a really dangerous team, but Glenville is nowhere near what they were just 2 yrs ago. They have an abundance of talent but no coaching without Ginn. Eds is going to have some serious speed at) and WR, not Trinity level, but better than anyone else on the schedule.

Does Elder have any standout linebackers this year?

McGeorge and Ginn are both beasts.

They are both very, very good but haven't really been tested in the pass coverage. I think Eds will challenge them more there. Wouldn't call either of them "standouts" but that depends on your definition of "standout."

I would call them tough, solid, sound and very good LBs.

Both are very good vs. the run. The standout LBs will be coming from the frosh class and soph Kyle Orloff.
