Tough day in the replay booth for UM. They've had 14 points taken off the board now (net of 11 after the field goal)

Yeah their front 7 is decimated. Tough go of it when that's the strength of your team

I don't think it would matter. Still doesn't change Harbaughs play calling. Probably a closer game but this is embarrassing bc I don't think Florida is any good. Franks is garbage

Punting down 21 with just over 7 minutes left is something Marvin Lewis would do.

Being a Bengals fan, I will take that. Harbaugh did well at San Fran.

Pretty awful take here. He took a 1-11 team to 12-1 in 4 seasons

And people wonder why the B10 gets sht on while the SEC is held in high regard. The 4th or 5th best SEC team just trounced the 2nd best B10 team.

As Arrogate pointed out had Andrew Luck at QB his last season. 4 years at Stanford, Hairball's overall record was 29 - 21.

SCUM was playing with out 4 starters 2 who are going to be top 1st rd. picks. Talent does make a difference. If Gardner - Johnson had skipped this game for UF this is a much closer game.

Probably would not be top 5 in BIG with out Higdon ( 1st team All Big Ten ), Gary and Bush. Difference between OSU and The Wolverines is depth of talent and of course Urban Meyer.

The SEC has earned the right to be called the best due to overall body of work over a number of years. Iím not a fan of comparisons like this though. You can easily argue that UF is 3rd best team in SEC, and I would personally agree with that. I also think they could easily get beaten by Penn State if they played next week. Each game takes on a life of its own.

A few years ago the Big Ten beat the SEC in a number of bowl games, so this thing goes back and forth. I think we would just like to see some of the other conferences like ACC and Big 12 get as much sh*t as we do

1 player doesn't take you from 1-11 to 12-1. Pretty dumb to say his 29-21 record was bad without any context.

They're 4th at the very least. They aren't better than Alabama or Georgia, and they lost to Kentucky.

That was awful, even accounting for the guys that chose to sit out. The play calling and offensive game plan were horrid.

All of the sit-outs really says it all. When it's year four and you've got somebody like Higdon who's probably a 4th/5th round pick opting to sit out a major bowl game, it feels like a program gut check. The guys projected to go high I can understand, but that has to be a morale killer for everyone else when you have a team leader that doesn't appear to have much to gain or lose draft wise bail like that.

I mean, as Bluth said, that is not how it goes every year. Certain things are comveniently forgotten when they don't fit the narriative

Also a bad loss to Mizzou...

I think you can argue they aren't top 5 easier than you can say they are the 3rd best

More times than not that's how it goes. In the last 10 years the SEC is 21-11 vs the B10 in bowl games. That's not close.

Bowl games just don't mean as much in today's landscape.

Using them to point to one conferences superiority is foolish IMO

I agree, but it's a big reason why the B10 gets sht and the SEC is praised. People remember these games, but never in context(ie Michigan had this many players sit out).

Where did I say it was bad ? However this is not the NFL, 29 - 21 is not very impressive in college, and when that one player is Andrew Luck it does make a big difference just luck at the Colts. OK Troll.

Michigan beat Florida like 41-7 in a bowl game a few years ago and nobody batted an eye. Bowl games outside of the playoff means next to nothing.
