According to this, Ashland Co is NEO, but irony is it's in 419 area code, and typically schools compete in NWO District.

1. Washington (Massillon, Ohio)
National Championships: 9
State Championships: 24
Overall Record: 870-290-36 (.743)
Wins Per Year: 6.9
Notes: The Tigers rank No. 1 in national championships and their 870 all-time wins rank third among teams on this list ... Washington also won 19 state championships during a 31-year stretch between 1935 and 1965 ... The 1940 Washington team ranks No. 3 on the MaxPreps list of the Top 50 greatest teams of all-time ... Three former Washington coaches are on the MaxPreps list of the Top 50 greatest high school football coaches of all-time — Paul Brown, Chuck Mather and Leo Strang ... Not included on that list was former Ohio State coach Earl Bruce, who led Washington to a 20-0 record and two state titles in his two seasons as the Tigers' coach ... Washington made the news recently by setting a school record with a 101 points in a single game.

Very humorous to hear all the envious attacks on the dynasty that is Massillon. I am very proud to have the foremost prep football organization in America reveal the Tigers as the top dynasty of all time in these United States. Some one above said that "you people should be proud" of what they have achieved.
I am in full agreement. What Massillon has accomplished will most likely never be equaled.
So rejoice and feel blessed at your proximity to our wonderful town!
God bless America and the Massillon Tigers.

Boy back in 81 or 82 when Moeller beat the Tigers I bet those poor Tiger fans thought.......”darn it, we lost, but hell we’ll win 23 more titles in the next 50 years”

How many Tiger fans on this forum were alive when they.....uhem “captured” their last title? Check in with a big YO!

Never be equaled? It won’t be long before there are no living Tigers the last time they won a title. But, Uylisses Grant was a Great War general too.

Seems to be a simple distinction to be made for reasonably intelligent folks. Just like baseball acknowledges a "dead ball era" (a technologically deficient era), isn't it clear that the "Pre-playoff era" and "poll title era" should be seen as two qualitatively different eras?

Subjective polling to decide a title is inferior but its the best we had at the time. Even Tiger Paw has admitted as much.

Baseball? Dead ball era??? You are trying too hard, college football is the much better and obvious comparison.

Didn’t all these State & National Titles happen before the playoff era ?
Even my Mother In- law was a winner before 1972, but looking at her now, you would never would have thought that.

Pretty funny boys. You still better respect that mother in law from back in the seventies tho. I know every plarer who played on all of those 24 state title teams will cherish them as will our fans. No go ahead and belittle some of those players from long ago.
Were very proud of our place in American scholastic history. The future looks bright as well. Its good to be Massillon.

Of course we like to toot our own horn.the largest and finest highschool football stadium in the state. Unparalleled facilities and coaches. Many of the areas most talented players want to be a part of that. And you can't blame a kid for wanting to be here. Football excellence since 1894.

This is an interesting list compiling the best teams of all tome. You can certainly see some of these dynasties detailed with the inclusion of multiple teams from Iggy Moeller and Massillon from their respective years of dominance.

Edit fixed link

The above post explains why the locals dont like Massillon. Its funny when the rest of the country appreciates the Tigers dynasty.

Future always looks bright, especially if your still living each day like it’s 1972

I don’t think this was mentioned. The Massillon Washington Tigers played THREE teams during the 2018 regular season on this list. Montclair, NJ, Canton McKinley and East St. Louis, Il.
