So jealous...

Just a troll, like yourself, who can clearly see how stupid the author of that article was.

He might have noticed Massillon isn't officially considered to have a state champion in ANY sport by The Ohio High School Athletic Association.

McKinley has 27

Yes, really. The number of teams that have produced 2-4 NFL players is huge. Couple that with the fact that we're talking about comparing kids at 16/18 vs. 22/24 years of age. It's a throwaway metric when comparing HSFB teams...pretty much common knowledge.

Sorry.

Cool. That said, it's not what I asked.

I seem to remember a number in the 17-19 range. Surely there is an actual list or article that you can produce?

Also throw in the fact that they got the list of NFL players on those teams wrong.

McKinley's aren't wrong now, are they? In fact, McKinley IS Ohio's all-time leader in having kids go onto the NFL. You do realize this, don't you?

You do realize my argument only helps yours....

The author got schedules wrong and players on those teams wrong. McKinley's was accurate, they may move up in this set of rankings if the data was corrected.

.

How many playing right this minute? The same number as Massillon has State Titles, according to the OHSAA -0.

How many of our players are coaching in the NFL? One- Josh McDaniels, current offensive coordinator for the Super Bowl contending New England Patriots. Josh has many Super Bowl rings and was formerly the Head Coach of the Denver Broncos. As a quarterback for McKinley, he led the Pups to a regional D1 championship win over Massillon in front of 35,000.

Deflection, as usual. You said McKinley had the MOST NFL players (3) off that 1997 team. That was innacurate, because Massillon (1970 team) had 3. If you can't name McKinley's pro players, that is okay, just admit.
It is ironic you mentioned the 1994 playoff game that the Bulldogs won. As you know that was the only playoff they won against the Tigers. (1-5). By the way, if Willie Spencer, Jr. (QB) for Massillon didn't get hurt in that game, McKinley's playoff record against the Tigers would be 0-6!!

The fact that McKinley won the D1 State Playoff Championship again the following year 33-10 over Cincy St. Xavier tells you they had loads of young quality that returned the following year who didn't feature much in '97. It's not incumbent upon me to look up exact #s as they are high and tbh really could care less whether you accept his # or not.

Tigers irrelevant as usual. This thread isn't about non-champions. But since you mentioned it. Super Bowl offensive coordinator for the New England Patriots, McKinley quarterback Josh McDaniels beating Massillon in the Regional Championship in front of 35,000 @ the Rubber Bowl 1994

1-5!
Since you mentioned only McKinley's victory against the Tigers in the playoff era, you failed to mention the 1980, 2001, 2005, 2009 and 2012 games! LOL!

For the record. I didn't mention Tommy Hannon, who was a sophomore at MWHS in 1970, played pro football with the Minnesota Vikings.

McKinley '97 isn't even the best team ever from Ohio, let alone the nation, to show how messed up this list is...The two best ever from Ohio are Colerain in '04 and Moeller in '76...( and i'm not even from Cincinnati ).Sorry Bulldogs, you're perhaps 3rd, or 4th, in Ohio.

Agreed about Moeller 1976. I would even put 1980 Moeller team above McKinley 97.

Since playoffs began I would agree a couple of the Faust Moeller teams or Ignatius in their peak prime were the best teams I ever saw. Public school Mckinley 97 is right up there with Colerain 04 and Warren Harding 1990. Those 3 were about as LOADED as any public school can possibly get. To me they get extra points for that.

McKinley’s NFL players.

https://cantonmckinley.com/just-the-...ckinley-alumni

Tough to say the 04 Comerain team is better than the. 97 Bulldog team. In my opinion they are the two best ever. Tough to say one is better than the other. But McK beating that Iggy team twice has to mean something. I don’t think Colerain played anyone as good as that Iggy team.
