I'm pretty sure Ignatius had four or five in the NFL at the same time.

I would not at all be surprised as that team was unreal! If you have more info on the '97 St. Ignatius Wildcats, please post!

OBIE-WON is an unknown quantity at this point
Not sure if itís been said or not and Iím not sifting through the pages. But just wanted to throw out there that the 97/98 bulldog teams wouldíve absolutely demolished that 04 Bulldog team.

I would have to agree. The talent level was very average in '04, and that team finished third in the Federal League. It was a tribute to the coaching prowess of Coach Cross and a group.of kids who possessed great heart that they made it all the way to the final. The '04 team benefited from a down region 2 and made the most of it to get to the state semis to play a goliath Glenville team that was coming off of a regional championship win over St. Ignatius. Our kids gave it everything they had and left nothing out there to hang on to a huge upset of the vaunted Tarblooders, one of Glenville's best teams. Our kids were pretty beaten up physically, and some were limping off at the end. To their credit, they came out fired up and lead Colerain twice in the first half before the roof caved in on them. Colerain had a great team that year, for sure. A Glenville- Colerain final would have been a lot more fun for me to watch, i can tell you that! Lol, but I was really proud of those kids.

Antonio Hall is now a teacher and coach @ McKinley.

The writer lost me right away when he talked about high school football being played for over 90 years.
Try at least 120 years.
Over 90 years would mean high school football started in the 1920s.
I know some Ohio schools had football back in the 1890s.
Fostoria dominated the sport in Ohio in the early 1900s, claiming several mythical state titles and the 1912 national title.

Football started earlier in some states than others, and this is a national poll. Football was a very different kind of game in 1900, although I'm reasonably sure some fans from Massillon remember it like it was yesterday. ;-)
