Top Players In Northeast Ohio

Who are some of the top players in Northeast Ohio, that are worth going and watching? Harris at Ursuline, Bell already know them. Who are some others??

Shyanne Sellers at Aurora is a sophomore with legit size and guard skills..I'm always a fan of good genetics haha.

Soleil (sp?) Barnes is a Toledo commit and played for Nordonia last year.

Lonasia (sp?) Brewer, a University of Akron commit, is at Hoban.

Javaan Rogers is returning at Buchtel. She was POY in the Akron City Series last year.

These are all girls I saw last year and/or this spring/summer that impressed me.

I'm sure Shyanne has a couple mid major offers, this year will be big on if the Power 5s come offering. Her sister is a senior this year and verbally committed to Purdue Fort Wayne

Yes she has moved... the 9th grader coming into Nordonia would be on a 'top players' list though

Which freshmen? I know they had a freshmen w/ size last year that played varsity and was a stud. Very exciting if they're adding another young one!

Top Players in the Northeast Ohio!

OSHAA BY LAWS
4-2-1 Once a student attains the age of 20, the student will no longer be eligible for interscholastic athletic
competition notwithstanding where that 20th birthday falls in relation to the sports season.
EXCEPTION 1: If the student is a “child with a disability” as that term is defined within the
Ohio Operating Standards for the Education of Children with Disabilities and Part B of the Federal
IDEIA requirements and the student’s specific disability was diagnosed contemporaneous
with the events which caused the student to be unable to meet the requirements of this bylaw;
and whose disability is the primary reason for student’s inability to meet the requirements of
this bylaw, that student may be declared eligible by the Executive Director’s office if, in the sole
discretion of the Executive Director’s office, the Executive Director’s office determines that:
a) the student does not pose a safety risk to himself/herself or others; and
b) the student does not enjoy any advantages in terms of physical maturity, mental maturity or
athletic maturity over other student-athletes
; and
c) the student would not likely participate in any meaningful way in any contest or otherwise
have any impact on the outcome of any contest in which the student does participate; and
d) there is no evidence of “red-shirting” or other indicia of academic dishonesty.

I am unclear as to this post, is it an implication to the age of one of the girls on the list?

Summitsports needs to stop believing ridiculous rumors and get a hobby other than insulting teenage kids If you ever actually met the kid you'd know she's not that old.

Now, I am confused about this post. How can meeting someone prove their age? If I met any one of these players I couldnt tell you wether they were 16, 18, 21 years old. And If I asked, i'm sure they could lie and tell me something different.

Let make it very simple, every player submit their birth certificate. All of this can be put to rest.

Summit, because you and others have been incessant with that nonsense on here. Who else from NE Ohio has had stupid age rumors running around about them?

Crazy Cabby, the rumors have been around all 4 years and if you talk to the kid in question, she's clearly younger than the ridiculous "20 or 21" that people spout off.

I do not believe this is a question for many, but I do not think that this girl is the only person to ever be questioned. I also feel that this program's coaches past behavior at McK and at previous schools is the reason there are so many questions. It's their behavior that leads people to believe they are not on the up and up. That is the bed that they made for themselves. They are the ones that have this stigma follow them around. I do not think that others should give them a pass, or need to get a "new hobby" for what McK coaches do and have done.

To blame others, for the behaviors I have done that shape my reputation is not right. If this girl played for another school/coaches that had more respect people would be less likely to believe "rumors".

You're taking this way farther than you have to. I'm speaking only on one ridiculous rumor that people who have a personal agenda against a teenage girl (so YES they need a hobby) keep passing around. Anyone who actually knows her knows that she's one year old for her class which is not uncommon in high school student bodies.

As for coaches' behavior, why do all of the other coaches who do the same thing get a pass? The ones who do the most complaining come from programs who do the very same things year in and year out.

Yep, she's a great young player... saw her lead her team twice this weekend against solid competition. She's got a bright future.
