Your transfers could not hang and got canned. Take a look at how their former teams are doing. Their effort is off the charts, however it is the mind of a three year old that causes the issues. UC's season will end up as another disappointment.

Why do you keep beating this horse, Bucky? You have a huge axe to grind.

I think I know what transfer players you are referring to and they are doing fine. Everything isn't always about soccer. Players need to be in situations that are the best for them and their families. If UC suits them, why the need to belittle them?

As a program, UC has had some bumps in road this season but they've also had successes. The team plays a demanding schedule. What is it that you expect out them?

I don't get the animosity towards UC....must be personal. Prior posts on this subject have documented the improvement that Neil Stafford has brought to the program. He has completely turned it around. He's also made improvements in the classroom as well. If memory serves me correctly, the GPA before he got there was below a 3.0. It's now 3.5 or better.

He made no secret when he talked to parents that his number one job was to upgrade the program. He said that he wants UC to be a program that rivals some of the top programs in the nation. He has lost some games, but he's playing top 25 schools. To me, it looks like he's still on an upward trajectory....

Uc has played ND, VA, Kansas, Auburn and LSU this SUNDAY. i challenge you to find another non conference schedule more difficult. I was looking at LSU's schedule who is undefeated. I think UC would probably be undefeated as well with the patsies they have played. They will be fine, they will not play anyone tougher in the conference.

What are we building in Cincy?
Do we want a top notch program?
Do we want to recruit the top area players?
Ask yourself those questions.
Tape a game and watch it.
Attack me all you want.
There is a reason transfers did not make it where they were.
Not about a better fit for "them"
Meanwhile kids sit that should be getting playing time for the teams future.
Program goes backwards.

Call me whatever names you want.
Successful programs do not build with cast offs
UC takes a step back
Local players are not stupid, they see what is happening.
Why commit to UC?
What happened at Louisville? Should I post that? So I suggest you stop with the name calling.

I posted tons of "success" from the UC program and you fail to recognize it, address it, or even admit you are wrong in every facet.

You're wrong again about programs building with transfers. It happens in every sport, in every conference, and with every successful program. Look at two of some of the most successful men's soccer coaches: Ken Lolla (Louisville) and Elmar Bolowich (Creighton). Both coaches, their current programs, and their former programs have a history of bringing in transfers and being extremely successful.

In the end, we should want the kids to be successful. If they found a place where they can flourish, then it's a great move. Congrats to all involved!

Wrong
Transferring from better leagues to a lower level school/league and building a program around those transfers does not happen.
Not if a Coaches intention is to build a program.
Neil's embrace of these types of transfers hurts the program.
Kids see it, they know the players coming in could not make it where they were, yet they can make it at UC?
UC is going backwards.
As for why the kid left. Who walks away from a full ride? Did SHE walk away? Or was she shown the door?

Or maybe she transferred back Home cause she wanted to come back to cincy where she is from... Not everyone that transfers has an issue with their program. Kids transfer home all the time, and opportunity to play at a big school at home is pretty cool. I mean your daughter transferred schools, doesn't mean there was issues. Kids transfer all the time. Making a decision as a sophomore in High School is not easy, things change over time!

Transfers dont automatically hurt a program.. You're telling me Kilgore, and Vetere (2 starters), hurt UC? You're delusional.

You have absolutely no idea what you are talking about.

This is my last response to your posts in this thread. It's obvious you have an ax to grind and it's unjust.

I encourage everyone else to quit responding too. It's obviously going nowhere with this person.

Doesn't make a lot of sense. Lots of programs have hometown kids transfer back home.

To my knowledge their are two transfers (mentioned above) on the UC roster. There may be a third (goalie from Detroit Mercy) out of a roster of, at least, 30 players all of whom played last evening except the 3rd/4th goalie. I don't see that as an unusual amount and actually fewer then listed on some rosters I've seen. Not sure what the issue is and doubt that Buck really does either.

Fantastic ball movement by UC, fun to watch.
Program is going backwards.
This is why better programs get rid of "me" players.
Ball movement is the foundation of a stellar program.
Bucky is always right.

Allow me to introduce you to the 2016 NCAA College Cup Champs:
https://usctrojans.com/roster.aspx?roster=92&path=wsoc
A roster loaded with transfers including starting GK, AM (MAC Trophy finalist) and several other 'cast-offs' who played significant roles in their road to the cup..

Players going to a better team and division.
You prove my point.
Players going backwards do not build a program.
ACC and Big ten compared to UC.
Give me a break.
Neil will pay a price in local recruiting.
Parents already yapping about it.

Looked back on how UC has done against the P5 the last 2 years. Looks like they have held their own:

ACC 1-1-1
Big 12 0-0-1
SEC 1-2
Big Ten 2-0

Ladies got it handed to them last night at Memphis. This is a different team on the road for whatever reason. Tulsa on Sunday which they could/should win but need a much better effort.
