I like the posters who say Trotwood is above Hoban.

FYI - they played 52.5 weeks ago and Hoban won by 30.

1. Pick Central
2. Hoban
3. Tie....Trotwood Madison/Steubenville... toss up! Slight edge to TM, that would be negated by coaching.....I think Big Red would win this one.
4. Marion Local
5. Wheelersburg
6. Minster

Remember..... the most talented teams are not necessarily the best teams.

Didn't do this last year. Just put it up this year when I saw all of the similar discussions in other threads.

Also, the gap between three and four is humungous. It's at least four touchdowns. The gap between five and six is also pretty big.

Couple of points here. 52.5 weeks ago? Why not just say a year ago, with an all state RB and all state QB who are no longer there.

Also- Ignatius 17 Hoban 3

Mentor 23 Ignatius 21

Pick Central 56 Mentor 28

Trotwood 28 Pick Central 19

One of these days, Big Red fans are going to wake up to the reality that you can't play with the really big boys in Ohio anymore. Steubenville would have no chance with any of the champions in the top three divisions.

Iím sure Trotwood would pull off what Mentor did beating Edís then Iggy..

They wouldnít win Region 1.

Oh really, Trotwood beat Chaminade Julienne 44-14 , Marion Local beat them by score of 35-7...... Looks like a Trotwood-Marion Local matchup may be closer than 4 touchdowns ???? At least that is the view of some on here who have seen both play....

That's just absurd. Trotwood Madison and Hoban happen to be really good teams this year, so I'm not saying that Big Red definitively would beat either, but I'm also not willing to say that they'd definitely lose ... definitely not get rolled by any of the winners. To act as though there is some giant leap between the divisions is just dumb.

Big Red has jumped between Divisions III and IV many times over the last 15 years. We've had roughly the same amount of success in each. Over that span, we've spent seven seasons in Division III. The last time Big Red was in Division III was 2013 and a team not nearly on the level of this year's version made the state semifinals. Big Red won championships in Division III in 2005 and 2006. The 2011 Division III Big Red team that lost to eventual champion Mooney 24-22 on a 40-yard field goal with no time left was good, but not nearly as good as this year's team.

I would say that this year's Big Red team is easily the best since the last time we won a state title, which was Division III ... and there have been a lot of good ones in between (2015 definitely gives it a run, among a couple others).

This year happens to be a season where there are extremely good winners pretty much all the way down the list. If there were a tournament held between winners, I think you'd find some extremely competitive games.

Cmon man,

If you look at the other post there are real Trotwood posters saying you guys are probably the best team in the State of Ohio. Your a FCS school. You should be.

Your beef should be with Pick Central cats. They are claiming they are kings of Ohio football. Even though they got pushed around by Trotwood a D3 school week three??

I disagree, TM def. Tri-Valley by 8 pts. If Steuby and TM played this week esp. with Hargrave injured, I think it would be a toss-up. Neither of those teams would beat ML by more than 2 tds.

I think I acknowledged that by choosing Picktown C and Hoban above the big red. Although it wasnít that long ago we beat Hoban 5 out of 6 years. Since then they have recruited summit county and the Akron area well. None of us think we can compete with the Iggyís Xís, Mentors etc. they have over 1000 boys we have 260. TM is a D3 school and whether you like it or not the Big Red would be regular contenders in D3. Put us in D5,6 or 7 including Marion Local...and we would own those divisions. For the most part teams are placed in divisions that is appropriate to the quality of the team. On a side note..... give us one big boy a year, in the right place on our schedule, and we are going to give them all they want and pull off the upset every now and then. WE KNOW OUR PLACE in Ohio HS Football. And within that place and like size schools and even some bigger schools we are pretty dam good. We are one of the True Blood programs in Ohio. Not trying to be something we arenít. What we truely are is quite fine with the big Red nation.

Big Red. We are what we are. We know what we are. We are not trying to beat or compete with schools 3 to 4 times larger.. and we donít have to. Weíve been assigned a division. And WE ARE THE CHAMPIONS OF THAT DIVISION. WE are the best of schools our size. I could careless about what happens in the other divisions.

Big Red 17th in Ohio. Thatís about where Iíd rank us. Maybe a spot or 2 lower. I see a couple teams below us we might have trouble beating. 17 would be as high as we could be and as low as 20. Not bad gor a D4 squad and out of 700+ football playing schools. ROLLREDROLL.

This is the statement every non Big Red fan uses. Every time Big Red wins you guys open your mouths and the first thing you say is, ďOh yea, well Big Red would of never won if they played in D1Ē ďThey canít play the really really Big BoysĒ. We donít need to. We are the DIVISON 4 STATE CHAMPIONS. We donít need to prove ourselves by playing schools that are 10x bigger than we are

In the last 3 years we are 41-3 and we have 3 straight Championship Appearances and a State Title this year. We donít have to prove anything to anybody. Our program speaks for itself.

FOOTBALL RESUME:

806 ALL-TIME WINS

806-316-36 All-time Record

30 All-time Playoff Appearances

17 Straight Playoff Appearances

66-26 All-Time Playoff Record

10 State Championships (4 playoff era titles)

8 AP Poll Titles

18 Regional Championships

21 Undefeated Seasons

WE DONíT NEED TO PROVE ANYTHING TO ANYBODY
