Watching them both play this weekend, it was pretty obvious Central would work Trotwood if they played now.

The play calling on offense this week, and last!!!! I had to take several seats last night and shut up! Like 8 straight pass plays, and then we get to the 1 yard line with zero timeouts and call a RUN PLAY. I think we would lose to several teams on this list right now.
We clearly won on talent last night, because it had nothing to do with Xs & Os.

PC couldn't stop TW on the football field and PC was the home team. PC got lucky having an easy path while Mentor went through St Ed and St Iggy.

PC probably would have lost to St Ed or St Iggy since your using hypothetical

I’m basing it on watching both teams play on the same weekend.

It was pretty obvious who would win if they were playing each other.

You know I was rooting for Trotwood to get the win but I will be honest, that Tri-Valley team won my heart during the game and I was wanting them to tie it up on that last drive.... of course, still wanting the RAMS to pull it out in OT.....

Congrats on the win and another piece of hardware and lets hope for better weather the next time we meet up.... (I still hate it being played on week 10 though)

and it could well have been the match-ups the reason they played "less well?" Against a variety of teams and schemes, yes I like Trotwood as well but have no reason to believe they'd fair any better against Hoban this year than last. I favor Firestonefan's rankings.

Hey Guys, if you can, please set out your own rankings rather than state that you like another's or like them with one or two modifications. It will make it easier when I compile the rankings.

I saw Tri-Valley play and I've seen Marion Local play. I truly believe that Marion Local vs Trotwood Madison would be a hell of a game. Most people are putting a large gap between those two....I don't think there's much of a gap at all and I'm not so sure that Marion Local couldn't win that game. They're legit, as much as I hate giving MAC school's their due.

This is how I see it to with my only change being in bold above. IMO each state champion is "great" within their respective division.

I am partial, but still no way to discount T-M's struggle with Tri-Valley in the championship. M/L? Is that a joke? Their line would get eaten as Shelby, Perry, Boardman, Mooney, & Clinton-Massie found out. Laughable.

It has been disclosed that OHSAA has "managed" the tournament in order to distribute state championships around the state to "spread the wealth" around.

therefore the entire thing was apparently "rigged"

I have always said that it would be fantastic for the champs to play each other to get an overall champ. I know there is huge size differences, but if set up correctly, it might not be too bad. I know it is a pipe dream, but dream I do.

D1-Bye - Plays Winner of 2 & 4, then winner of lower tier
D2 vs D4
D3 vs D5 - Plays winner of 6 & 7
D6 vs D7

That said, I think it would be a toss up between Pick Central and Hoban. Trotwood played one of their worst games of the year, so I think they are still ahead of Big Red but not by a huge margin. I think Marion Local would give Big Red a solid game and would have a chance. And finally I think Minster would smack Wheelersburg. (although I think ML could beat Big Red, doubt they could beat Trotwood, but you never know.)

So...

Hoban/Pick Central
Trotwood
Closely followed by Big Red / Marion local
Minster
Wheelersburg

Yeah, I thought about that too...but then they have to play an even bigger division for their first round game. I feel like it would be safer for them to play D6 first.
