How did the team you support do in the play-offs?
Playing against teams in their division in the play-offs, Marion Local
defeated five teams with a combined record of 50-15.
They outscored those five teams 160-24.
Your team did what.....?

Your obsession with the TIGERS amazes me. You have been spouting this same crap for years. Why? No one in Massillon cares about Dayton Wayne. Your comments about MW scheduling D. Wayne, and then backing out is laughable and innacurate. However, what really is hilarious is your first comment.

Perhaps, perhaps not. I know for a fact they cancelled on Hilliard Davidson several years ago.

Don't believe that ever happened. Was that the bad Lima Senior team that won the state championship? No one is afraid to schedule Mooney. Give Massillon a call. Let's see, Jackson has never beat Massillon, and Perry has a not so good record against the Tigers.

Canceled might be a little stronger word than I would use. I know the two schools talked and it sounded like a game would take place, but it was never a signed contract. You are correct that our coach, at the time, decided to schedule another school. I really don't know why.

They said on the broadcast that the MAC has 125 state championships. That speaks for itself. The best conference in Ohio.

1999, and yes Lima SR was really bad that year.....

What does Mooney have to do with anything...

We have trouble finding games and had to travel to PA this season.... if Massillon wants to play without chickening out then bring it.... I'm sure week 1 and 3 is open for us so make the trip southwest....

. FACT: The Tigers played Lima Senior from 1996-2000, all games the second week of the season. Lima did defeat St. Ignatius for the state title in 1996, only losing to Massillon. So, the Spartans had an excellent program during that period of time.

As far as 2018, the only openings the Tigers have are games 7 & 8.

I do not think Marion Local would be able to beat Pick-Central, Hoban, or Trotwood this year. As for d4, yes, Marion Local could beat Clinton Massie if they win it.... I have yet to see Steubenville this year so no comment.

I base my opinion based on games I have seen over the years and my power ratings. The MAC have proven they can beat teams bigger and faster than them and have beaten some very solid clubs in Mooney and Ursuline. It rarely happens but when a MAC school has played a D1 team they have won every time.

I have often made claims that Parkway would beat Moeller and I hope all of those who have read that did not take me seriously but rather that I was just mess'n with the MAC hater in Hoser.....

Congrats to the MAC winning 2 more state titles this year and proving year in and out that they are the BEST conference in the state of Ohio.....
In my opinion the MAC would most likely rival with any "small school league" in the U.S!! It has been said (more than once and by more than 1 person) that the Mighty MAC is the best small school league in the entire country. Based on results year in and year out, it's hard to argue with those claims. People hating on the MAC are just jealous, plain and simple. I would love it if my teams' (Tri Valley) league (MVL) dominated as the MAC does. They have quite a football tradition and Im quite sure they are proud of it and do not give a crap who thinks what about them. They just continue to do their thing and bring home the hardware every year!!

Mooney fan, that explains everything. Yes, go ahead say it, your QB was out. I've always said that is no excuse with all that D1 talent you had that year. You team got out played and espically out coached.

Thought you were a Mooney fan, but realize now you are a Wayne fan. You have trouble scheduling because teams don't want to play you. Not because you are so good also. I think you know the reason. We are booked 1through 3, but games seven and eight are open. Give us a call.

We play in a league so 7 and 8 are a no go....

Why does Washington not play in the FED?

My bad.... anyhow it was week 2 in 1999. Our schedule had Wayne @ Massillon. We were excited about the game. Not sure what happened but it got postponed at the last moment leaving Wayne scrambling for a week 2 game. We were able to get Belmont but that game was 72-0 Wayne at the half.

If Washington was locked into a contract with Lima during that season then why would they agree with a game? Did they play at Lima that year? Maybe they tried to get out of it to get another home game but could not and failed to tell Wayne about it.....

anyhow, I got to get ready for the basketball season just having some fun on here and somehow Massillon got brought into a MAC thread......

That’s a joke. Davidson would physically beat up any team in the MAC. You folks who are buying into this “Marion Local can beat the top big boys” really don’t understand what role enrollment size plays. That’s why they have 7 divisions. Most of you are forgetting that ML is not the first small school dynasty. Newark Catholic was winning titles and setting playoff records before anyone ever heard of the MAC. The great JD Graham would be the first to tell you that his great teams could not compete with the Iggy’s and St Ed’s. MAC fans should be ecstatic and enjoy their dominance instead of trying to be more than they are.....Big School Champions. Besides whether or not they can compete is and always will be conjecture.
