I’m going Pickerington Central. They’re on mission after state semi loss last year.

Mentor with Mcdougal could win it all.

Pickerington Central is 32-17 all-time in playoffs (including Pickerington HS days), with two runner-ups.

Mentor is 30-16 all-time in playoffs, with 3 runner-ups.

I'd say both teams feel like they have unfinished business for their programs.

Correct me if I’m wrong but isn’t Hoban the only parochial playing next weekend? If so wow!

I said before last week we may be looking at 7 public champs, and I like WW chances over Hoban to complete that.

I like WW's chances as well unless they decide to spot Hoban a 21-0 lead.

WW beat LaSalle twice and we all know how good the Lancers are. I wouldn’t. E surprised if WW does pull it off.

McDougal was suited up but DNP. He hurt his ankle on the second-last series vs. St. Ignatius last week. He was in a walking boot all week. He is the real deal. Waited for his chance in week four after an injury to the back-up RB. Averages over 10 yards-a-carry. He did not play football the last two years and was third on the depth chart. At Mentor, you usually have to wait for an injury to get the chance to move up. To say McDougal was missed would be a huge understatement.

First of all, I’d like to congratulate both teams. Two extremely solid programs that have come up just short so many times! I’m going to digest this win tonight, maybe stream the Liberty vs Mentor game, and give my thoughts tomorrow!

Go Tigers!

Mentor has lost to two privates (St. X, Moeller), and one public (Davidson) in the state finals. Don't want it to be two and two!

Mentor won tonight because O Lib rushed 3 all night and couldn't get any pressure. Neither will be true when they face Pick Central. Picktown wins this one.

That doesn't explain why all 4 DI semi-finalists were Publics.

Liar.
I did and I’m not lying....

Early last June a friend of my son’s was at our house (in Pickerington). He was recently hired for a position on Mentor’s coaching staff. We started talking football and I said “how are you guys going to be this year?” He replied, “I think we’re going to be pretty good.” I said “Yeah, so are we. Maybe we’ll see you in the finals.”

I'm picking Mentor to win by less then a TD. My reasoning is that Mentor will not be as careless with the ball as PC's last two opponents. If the TO's are equal I like Mentor's chances. Should be a great game though as both teams are very good.

I know that the OHSAA likes to keep the D-I final the feature game. If OSU beats Michigan, the Big 10 championship is next Saturday night. The last time this happened, the Mentor/Moeller final was moved up to the afternoon game on Saturday. The OHSAA may move the D-I game up to the afternoon again. Would prefer a night game. I hope you are right Eagle Fan about Friday.

Central is considered the home team. (Top team in the bracket) I’m a little disappointed they aren’t going to wear their slick all-whites...

Go Tigers!

Yeah... Central’s defense had absolutely nothing to do with those turnovers. Northmont, Bradley, Pick North, Colerain...they just handed the ball to Central. It had nothing to do with hard hitting, aggressive defense? Nothing to do with DBs who’ve been varsity starters for 3+ years and holding multiple D1 offers jumping routes....nothing. Central is the luckiest team in the history of team sports.

Don't home teams wear their dark jerseys and the visitors wear white? It's not basketball!
