I don't care if the Pope puts them in, they are not deserving of a spot. They get in because of TV ratings. Again: CRUSHED by Iowa and CRUSHED IN Columbus by Oklahoma. Stick a fork in them. It should be case closed. But they will find a way to put them in if there is a sliver of a chance. I hope the Wolverines hand it to them like they did last year, before getting screwed with phantom pass interference calls, and a spot that was pathetic. Then Penn St last year wins the Big 10 East, wins the Big 10, and they sit home and the clown committee takes the pukeyes. That was a screw job to Penn St. to say the least. The whole thing is a sham.

Wow. To be so bitter on Thanksgiving weekend.

Bucks may not deserve a slot but if the scenario plays out as described, there will be three 2 loss teams fighting for 1 spot. Objectively, they will have an excellent argument vs a ACC runner up Clemson who lost to Syracuse and a PAC12 champ that is even more flawed. It may not play out this way but if it does brace yourself, we would not want you to ruin your Christmas too. (:

Penn State protected Jerry Sandusky. They deserved it.

Clemson does not have a walk in the park this weekend at South Carolina.
Big rivalry game on the road vs. a top 25 (barely) team which would love to ruin their season.
Not betting on it, but stranger things have happened.....

Also hate to say it, but I wouldn't be terribly surprised to see the Bucks lose to the team up north.

Not a chance on bucks losing. Scum has zero offense. At least 3 td win this time. Michigan has regressed

I don't care if Clemson wins out. A one loss Miami team losing their last game of the yr is NOT going to get it over a B1G champion!
I almost want the B1G champ left out so there is outrage to expand the playoff format to 8 teams.
All the power 5 champions get automatic bids with 3 at large bids.
First rd higher seed HOSTS the game!
Let's see these sec/acc/PAC schools travel and play in weather for once!

Simple solution… Boil the five major conferences down to four, and take the champion of each conference.

Can't imagine OSU getting in, the stench of that Iowa game is enough to choke to death on.

It’s actually a pretty simple path. Miami, Oklahoma, and Alabama win out. Auburn and Clemson won’t get in with 3 losses, Wisconsin won’t get vs a team that beats them (Ohio State), Georgia won’t get in as a 2 loss team with no conference championship and neither will Notre Dame.

Ohio State will have 2 top 10 wins, another top 25 win. No other team comes close to that resume and the PAC 10 conference champion will not get in.

It's rigged if OSU gets in. They are mediocre. I don't want to watch OSU lose by another running clock again

I just feel like for them to get in, the committee would have to absolutely feel like they have no better option they can sell. Iowa has made that loss look worse and worse, as they've barely picked up any 1st downs since that game, let alone a win.

I don't think they will or should get in. But "mediocre"? I'll just guess you are a Buckeyes hater?

Laid an egg against Iowa, no doubt. But still easily a Top 10 program.

If Miami loses, it gets messier. Imagine Bama and Clemson losing this weekend too. Then title games are toss ups for some. This is bound to get messy

So ? to the haters...if things play out as discussed...
Osu wins out
Alabama wins out.
Oklahoma wins out
Clemson wins out
Who would be a better choice?
You really think they are going to leave out the B1G champ?
The B1G is arguably a top 1-2 conference this yr. third at worst.
I just don't see them not getting in.
And yes ladies star power/ratings do play a part when it comes down to tie breakers!

If Pitt wins, the loser of Clemson / Miami is out

Bama wins out, Auburn and GA are out

Oklahoma wins out

Winner of Clemson / Miami will get in

That leaves Ohio State as #4......argue all you want but if they win out there's nobody more deserving of the #4 spot....you have to win when it matters to get in the playoff

Not as much as losing on November 24 and 25.
And enough time to beat two top 25 teams in that span.
It's all playing out! Sorry haters!

Iím one of the biggest buckeye fans out there. They donít deserve to be in this year. They are too inconsistent and not a complete football team. I would love them to make it, but it doesnít mean I think they deserve to.

Would you rather see Ohio State get in and be exposed by a better team, or go to a bowl game against another top 10 team and have a better chance at winning and end the year on a high note?

After Miami's ugly loss todaya I'm not sure you can say the Bucks don't deserve it. If Bama, Clemson, Oklahoma and the Bucks all win out, the Bucks are in at #4.....and it's maybe a distant #4, but if they win today and next week, they are playing better than any of the other options right now so at that point, yes they deserves the playoff spot.

I'd much rather see them have a shot at the playoff than win a different bowl game....that's not even a question. You can't possibly think that ending up in the Peach Bowl on Jan 1st against Central Florida (which is a real possibility) is a better option. If we win out, and don't make it, we'll be playing a team who lost 1 or 2 of their last 3 games and isn't going to want to be there anyway
