At least they shoot free throws well, and I actually saw some guys diving for loose balls, which is an improvement over last year.
I sure thought Kam would be so much better, never had much hope for Potter.

Cam has always been consistently inconsistent. Holtmann is not going to be able to change that. Potter should never have been brought into the program to begin with. Holtmann will just have to do the best he can with him, until he can stock his own roster.

I'm still happy with what I see him doing with what he was handed.

Potter had started playing really well, but had an ankle issue I believe, which kept him out of the Gonzaga game and limited him last night. I think we will see good things from him. Kam was and always will be a one dimensional player. Great if his shot is falling, bad if not

I don't see any TV coverage against Butler.

I thought Williams really improved last year. He averaged almost 10 points per game, shot almost 40% from the field overall & also from three point land, and shot 90+% from the foul line.

I'm just disappointed that improvement seems to have stopped completely after the end of last season.

That loss hurt. To come out of that tourney with a 2-1 vs Gonzaga, Stanford, Butler would have been great. To come out 1-2 was basically the expectation going into it.

A lot emotion on the coach for this game, two or three need to step up like Jackson. They let this one get away,a learning lesson because they are going to see much better teams soon.

Bummer considering they were leading at half. Only saw the first half. KBD must have dropped off in the 2nd half. Young looked good.

The bottom line is that the team is not mentally tough at all right now. They fold like a cheap suit at the first sign of adversity.

Fellas, there is not much talent on this OSU team. Dakich is basically a walk-on and he is playing 15 minutes some games. Andre Wesson will not be getting minutes next year when 4 new freshmen arrive. Kam is junk and CJ is a shooting guard trying to play point. Tate is a 6-3 power forward...should be playing in the MAC not the Big 10. Let's hope big man Wesson improves and Jallow and Young show something. Need Potter healthy too as he looked better first few games. If KBD stays next year it should get much better with the new additions. Paying the price for a few years of bad recruiting and no true point guard on roster.

I hear you, but this no talent team was still up on Butler by 15 points with 4-5 minutes to play, and it was up by 7 on Clemson at halftime. I agree that there's no chance this team would make the NCAA tournament from the get-go, but I don't consider Butler and Clemson NCAA tournament teams this year. They could have and should have won both games. That's all I'm saying.

I agree but the lack of a point guard is felt against decent college teams like Butler and Clemson over 40 minutes. They also have a lack of depth up front now too especially with Potter hurt. Clemson was way bigger and more athletic than OSU too. Just saying margin for error is small for OSU this year, they cannot overcome a high turnover night or a poor shooting night. It will get better next year....hopefully a bit better as this year goes along too.

The B1G teams with that HUGE front line will be very hard for this group to stay in the game. The new coach will only be able to do so much, time for the seniors to man up...BAM!

Buckeyes go into halftime with a 49-26 lead over Wisconsin. Best they have looked so far this season. Of course anyone looks great when you're shots are falling.

Buckeyes trail TTUN by 6. Were down by 20 late in the 1st half but have stepped it up since. 14-0 run right now.

Nice resilient effort by OSU. Beilein's teams are notorious for ridiculous regular season letdowns and this one will end up towards the top of the list.

Talent difference wasn't that great between the teams but Michigan has much more depth. Unfortunately when a coach refuses to utilize that depth in the midst of an opposition's 20-0 run (or whatever it was), then you're asking to lose the game.

I'm not a Buckeye fan by any stretch, but it really bothers me that the Buckeye men's basketball team gets the shaft when it comes to the fan base. I mean, they beat Wisconsin- at Wisconsin Saturday and I don't think there was much talk about it at all??? It's always football 24/7 in Columbus. They shot their foot when they lost to Iowa by 31 a month ago.
Time to turn the page and follow hoops, two pretty good wins the last week!
