Still searching for the last two scores.

Schools need to take some notes from Louisville on how to run a Twitter account

There was a nice write up on McKinley's freshmen Kobe Johnson in today's Canton Repository.

So Hoover goes 2-0 without their senior stud?

Props to Coach Blackledge for suspending his own son. Could not have been easy. Stones.

Beacon Journal winning again. How can they have the score already and a small write up and The Rep has nothing, pathetic.

I thought the Panthers fought real hard vs. the Bulldogs. Better than I thought they would. In the end their lack of depth and turnovers were the difference. McKinley can play 10 without any drop off, where Perry’s bench is much thinner.
I’m not into moral victories, so if the Panthers can play 4 quarters with the intensity and heart they played with tonight, good things will happen.

The Pups only return 1 starter from last year's 13-10 team.

Good luck to the Panthers the rest of the year.

Wow really surprised by Hoover's start and the way they handled GO.

Looks like a team that will compete for the Fed championship with their young talent developing

GO makes too many stupid mistakes and I'll advised shots. They have a talented junior class so maybe they will get better as the season progresses

Lake seems to be the real deal with their win over Green.

McKinley and Perry score surprised me. Either Perry is better than we thought or McKinley isn't that good.

Also surprised by Hoover, they may surprise some people.

I thought Glenoak would be better, but it’s still early, they don’t usually come together until later in the season.

Not sold on Lake yet. They are solid, but they need to show a lot more for me to call them the real deal. Green will be pretty good, but no size and can’t ever seem to make the timely shot against Lake the way Lake does against them.

I think Perry is going to be more competitive then we all think and I’m not sure what we are going to get from McK yet.

Gonna be an interesting year.

His dad did not suspend him. He was suspended due to school and Ohsaa rules.

Interesting, what’s the reasoning?

Figured he got caught drinking or showed up late to something, this leads me to believe it was something else.

Panthers biggest weaknesses are their depth, physicality and turnovers. They lost a very good point guard in Stokes, who tore his ACL during football season. That moved a freshman up, who was starting on JV, Quentin Toles. Perry’s Center Haynes, is a 6-6 sophomore, who is a player to watch. He blocked several McKinley shots and forced some others to adjust and miss. He’s got some very long arms. He’s not a finished product, still growing, but will be a very good player by his senior year.
For them to succeed in any game, it will take their max effort for 4 quarters. Last night the Bulldogs depth had a lot to do with the outcome. Perry’s depth issues looked to wear them down a bit.
