lol again, I will go back to my first question....Are all of these jobs officially open or are they assumed to be open? I have personally searched on all of the jobs I stated and found nothing about a current posting for a new HC. That is why I asked. I didn't say anyone was making anything up for personal gains. There are people out that that find this information very helpful when looking for HC positions. I was just curious how accurate the information is.

It is official...

...although in a few cases where there is an "interim" coach, we don't know if they have already removed the "interim" title or not. SO in those few cases, the job may never be available

If true, that will make a fourth new coach in 4 years, correct?

Another example of incompetent administration..........20 years ago in education it was all about being "student centered." Now, almost nothing is student-centered for administrators who want to hire their non-qualified buddies, or the cheapest candidate they can find. One has to wonder if the trend in athletics doesn't suggest in 25 years all sports aren't run like AAU, outside of schools, except at the elite venues that care.

Norton might be in trouble, they went 2-8 and both wins were against 0-10 teams...........what if Field improves?!?!?!

It is true and you are correct. My son plays for Field. We were given the news yesterday (11/21). The new coach will be the Fourth in as many years.

Randy Moore I think was Qualified. I believe he was a college coach,if it is who I am thinking of. I have no idea why he designed unless high school was not for him.

I had heard that the job was all but sealed for former EC and OSU grad Matt Wilhelm, but he decided against it. I'd think that guys like Tony Reaser (on staff), Spencer Roule (US assistant, EC grad) and Jason Ward (Columbia) are now the top targets

Elyria Catholic job posted today. They are going to need to hire somebody young and energetic because their numbers have been down the past couple years and their main feeder school, St. Judes (which combines with other local Catholic schools) didn't even have an 8th grade football team this year. New coach will have to get the numbers back up.

Do you think getting the numbers up will be difficult if Elyria HS keeps going 1-9??????????????????!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ! They have a young AD, so you will probably get your wish, after a galactic search, a 26 year old will get the job. That seems to have worked really well for Walsh Jesuit. By the way, isn't the guy EC fired a couple of coaches back the head coach that just made a deep playoff run at Padua???!!!

In D5 or whatever they are, 5 kids makes a huge difference. 5 kids with speed is a state title, just ask Coach Rattay (spell/RIP).

I am going to attempt to tier DI-DIII jobs into best to worst. Please leave me your thoughts as well. I want to learn more about these schools.

DIVISION I
Tier 1-
Westerville Central- Great area, some tradition, lots of kids with pretty good talent.
Berlin- New School, Great Area, the other Olentangy schools normally win.
Moeller- Would be my top, but the recruiting for Cincy Catholic is just so cutthroat. GCL
South is toughhhhhhh.
Tier 2-
Lebanon- Tradition is ok, good support, can compete every year in their side of GWOC.
Tier 3-
Westland- Just don't see the success happening.
Middletown- Pass on this job just hearing the horrow stories of parents, players and the
previous coach really hurt this job with the death threats comment.

DIVISION II
Tier 3-
Lakeside- Tough job based on history.
Lakewood- Can a coach even win here due to St. Ed's!?!?

DIVISION III
Tier 1-
Norwalk- Some history of success. Down years last 2 but still competitive.
Butler- Nice area at the Crossroads. Good town with decent support. Questions remain
on firing a coach after 2 years though he seemed to lose the team and school.
Tier 2-
Revere- Some decent teams here and there.
McKinley- Similar to Revere. Some history of decent teams here and there.
Tier 3-
Shawnee- Hard to sustain any type of success here for some reason.
Ponitz- Cannot win with White at Belmont and Dunbar winning. DPS open enrollment
makes job incredibly hard.

Monroe High School in Butler county is looking for a new Head Football coach. Bill leach the former Head Football coach at Princeton was 18-33 in 5 years at Monroe with a playoff appearance in 2014 at 7-4. All coaches interested would love the opportunity to coach Monroe. Great facilities, good amount of kids to work with and good community support.
