Not sure exactly what this means either, but FWIW Copley played Walsh last year at home and won by 12-13 I believe. This was the 2nd year of a home & home played at Walsh. Difference tonight was Warriors were better from FT line, 26-37 v Indians 18-26. Copley had a potential game-winner rim out at the buzzer. Walsh pretty much returns their starting lineup from last year and quite frankly are pretty good.

Coaching was the difference in that game, for sure.

Could one argue that if Copley's coach was not also the girls coach they would have beat Walsh? You cannot tell me that him working on the side did not cost them 2 points?!?! What a joke.

Aurora by 51 yes 51. Best Aurora has played in a long time. Lots of energy. WRA is rebuilding playing 4 freshmen and 3 sophomores a ton.

I got a late start, but the site is up and running for the Suburban League. Just catching up on scores, now.

http://www.pitmanstats.com/mbk/leagu...74&district=20

I have 23 games for Hudson, only 21 for Twinsburg, and only 20 for Revere. Any help is appreciated. Thanks!

Last year, the Copley girls coach was replaced for some reason early to mid season, and Dente offered to take over the program apparently due to lack of either interested or a qualified replacement in mid season. Not so sure why he would be running the girl's program this season once again, (unless he preferred to continue) as the AD at Copley has had a year to find a qualified coach. I do know that Dente has three kids, (one girl, two boys) currently playing at Copley. Can only assume he want's the girl's program to be successful, as interest in girl's basketball at Copley had been steadily declining in previous years.

Early season perception is the SLA looks to be weak. Overall, 5-9 to start the season. Tallmadge and Copley battling for the top spot. Barberton, Highland, and Revere somewhere in the middle. Aurora thankful that Kent is in the league so they aren't the bottom team. Heck, Aurora might be good enough to battle for the middle of the league this year.

Maybe the season will get back to normal once the football players get into basketball shape. Come on Barberton, this can't be the best you can do.

Panthers and Magics pick up wins

The Barberton Magics also picked up a big conference win against Revere High School, 47-46. Jordan Greynolds made four free throws in the final minute of the game and Garrett Turnbaugh had a big rebound and put back to complete the comeback win. The Minutemen led 26-13 at the half.

To me, it seems like an overwhelming task handling multiple teams at once - unless he really wanted to spend a bunch of time with his kids.

I donít know how anyone can find enough time in the day between whatever he does to make money and then be able to coach 2 high school teams from 3:00 on.
