Right now Indianapolis Cathedral is a injured team. They are playing without their starting RB (Stepp) and starting FB (Mencer) both were injured and did not play in the St. X game as well. They also lost their top WR (Collins) to injury in the St. X game. Defensively they played without one of their top DL.

This week they have St. Edwards, and I don't see them pulling off the upset without getting some of their top players back and healthy. Of course right after they play St. Edwards they finish the regular season with Indiana 6A Power Center Grove. They already did the blind draw for the tournament so Cathedral knows their opponent for the 5A State Tournament. Cathedral will host Indianapolis Roncalli pitting #1 vs #2 in Indiana Class 5A Sectionals. Hopefully they are healthy by thata time.

Scott County's losses were to 2 GCL-S schools, LaSalle 28-14 and Moeller 38-28.
Should LSX get past Scott County they will likely get a rematch with archival Trinity. Go Tigers!

The Cardinals get a Pick Central team that gave the Bombers all they could handle in last year's state semifinal (29-27). The only significant graduates from last year's PC defense were a pair of LBs Garon Howard and Kieran Douglas and from the offense were QB Darius Coker and RB Morgan Ellison. They return the entire senior offensive line which averages close to 300lbs, a pair of 6'5" 235lb tight ends in Alex Morgan (Toledo) and Trenton Gillison (Michigan State), dual threat sophomore 6'2" 195lb QB Demeatric Crenshaw (Kentucky) and a stable of playmakers in Xavier Henderson (Michigan State), Jeremiah Wood (14 D1 offers) and Terry Simuel.

Mentor's offense is potent enough to get them past Olentangy Liberty but their porous defense will give up 6 or more scores from the winner of PC-Colerain.

Pickerington Central's R3 final victory over Pickerington North 31-14 was stopped with 50 seconds left to play due to sideline altercations between players.
The Colerain-PC game should be loaded with penalties, cheap shots and brawls throughout.

Why do we allow GMC schools to rep R4 upstate?

The brawls and cheap shots you speak of are pure speculation. We let GMC represent R4 because they earn it by beating the best In Cincinnati. Go get some ice and nurse your sore butt back to health. X got beat fair and square. The opportunities X had were squandered by shotty play calling. Get over it and look forward to 2018.
