What kind of team does Ellet expect this season?

They'll challenge Buchtel for the City title although Chris Livingston will make that task a little more daunting.
Ellet loses shot blocking machine Al Johnson and sharpshooter Stephen Zampelli but return a solid core.

Senior guards Storm Cherry and Jesse Nance will lead the way along with 6'5" Jarmond Hogg who comes from Coventry.
Jr. PG Trevin Carter should continue to blossom into one of the area's better players. 6'4" Anthony Jordan is solid in the paint.
Underclassmen Adonis Jordan and E.J. Jones will also contribute.

I'm sure there are a few other names that will emerge along with a new face or two. I'll definitely have a better idea once practices get going.

tng.
In my humble opinion Buchtel looks like they will have a basketball team this year, not a bunch of linebackers and defensive ends in basketball shorts, just my view,,,,

No doubt.
With the influx of talent Buchtel is probably the favorite this year but I think Ellet still has enough to make it a fight.

It's tough to beat any talented team 3 times in a year. Ellet will make it tough on them but the overwhelming talent on Buchtel should win out.

Who is Kenmore-Garfield's boys basketball coach? Kerston stepped down in the off season.

Did Ellet get anyone from St.V?

The only new face I know of so far is Jarmond Hogg from Coventry.
I'll find out more when I see them next week.

CoventryTrackXCguy is an unknown quantity at this point
Will SVSM be in the same district as Ellet?

Jarmond Hogg is a huge pick up for Ellet by the way. I'm hoping he has a fantastic senior year with you guys.

As an aside, Im not sore over Jarmond leaving Coventry in the slightest. Coventry is going into a serious rebuilding period, given what we lost to graduation. Our team looks to be down this year with or without Jarmond. We would be better off in the long term, if we give most of our varsity minutes over to developing our younger players. So I believe Jarmonds move is best for all of us, and I wish him the best of luck as an Orangeman.

Heard differently, especially early in the scrimmage...

Sounds good. I'll take your word for it since I wasn't there and assume the coach was talking about some players or combination of players he had on the court.
