IMO, you have LaSalle too high. I would take Winton Woods and Troy over LaSalle head to head. I think WW, Edgewood and Troy are the top 3 in Region 8.

You know I love my Trojans but I can even admit that they would probably not beat Lasalle. But stranger things have happened. I havenít seen Edgewood play so I canít really say for them.

Have you seen LaSalle play? I've watch all 3 of their games and they could be 0-3.

But they aren't and wouldn't Troy be 0-3 on that schedule?

This year no I havenít. But nothing wrong with losing to Colerain. They also beat a good Mason team. Itís not like Edgewood beating Monroe, Franklin, and Badin. If Edgewood has that schedule theyíd probably be 0-3. This is just my opinion. Lasalle is still a top 5 D2 team.

I said that Troy is better than LaSalle. It's too early in the season to consider strength of schedule.

Uh nah Lasalle, Woods, Anderson and Troy are the top 4 D2 teams in this region. I would say all these teams except Woods would be 0-3 if they had played Lasalles schedule.

I do think Troy would give Mason a game. They would have a chance at winning. But they would get beaten badly by Colerain and I donít know anything about that other team. But if they almost beat Lasalle they must be good. Anyway, I will let the season play out a little more. Right now my top 4 in order in region 8... Lasalle, Woods, Troy, Anderson.

I think a D2 Region 8 thread is in order.

Uh nah you don't really believe that DMR. Lasalle is the best D2 team in this region, hands down.

Uh, Hoban might be the best team in the state, regardless of division. Uh when you smoke Wayne like they did , really impressive.

Uh I believe it will come down to the Akron all-star team and the Toledo all-star team. Real public schools have no chance. Sad but that is the way it is, same thing in D1 and probably a couple of other divisions.

Uh, I'm referring to the pecking order in Region 8. Uh, I think a D2 Region 8 thread should be started.

Uh Edgewood is a good public school team and probably has no chance against Lasalle and Winton Woods who get kids from all over the state. Sad but true public schools in Ohio other than a few who play the same game as the private schools, have no chance against these all-star teams from all over the state.Woods and Lasalle should both be D1.

So, you do realize that Hoban was the only private to make a state championship game last year, right? And already this year, you've had Mentor beating St Ed's and St. Ignatius, Colerain beating Lasalle and X, and Massillon beating St. Vincent St. Mary. Most privates obviously have an advantage, but you're selling short the success the publics have had the last year, and so far this season.

Uh, all good points, but lets see how it ends up after the tournament. D1 will be a private school, D2 is a lock for a private school, and it looks like Trotwood is sorta down in D3 , another private school champion. D4 thru D7 is the best chance for a public school champion. And I wouldn't bet on D4.

Massillon is really, really good. They'll be a problem for any private in D2.
