That means one of your opponents in guaranteed a loss. And it didn't help you played Fairless because TV also played Fairless non league.

So that's three weeks where either Tusky or another team on your schedule is guaranteed to lose. That's not good. If you had beaten a non-conference foe who would've then played teams not in the IVC they may have won all three games and picked up more L2 points for you.
Yup, I follow it close too. You wanna talk about cutting your throat with a schedule, look at CCC. Great chance they donít make week 11 and more than likely would throttle most of the IVC teams.

Fairless has definitely not done any favors for you. They've had opportunities but can't get over the hump due to turning the ball over, not making plays when opportunities present themselves, and being young.

Minerva is a dumpster fire right now and might have been a better option to buy them out and find a new opponent. It honestly is just a bad year schedule wise for you guys. If you have teams winning 4-5 games over like sized schools you would be alright.

Another example is East Knox. Going to go 9-1 or 8-2 and they have 4-5 teams with 0-1 win on their schedule.

It'll be what it'll be. no crying over spilled milk. Just a slight rebuttal to the theory that playing IVC north schools is the death of SV concerning playoffs. Playing D4 schools and larger d5 schools that aren't winning has been our Achilles heel this year.

What are people’s thoughts on IV Garaway this week. Surprised it’s been quiet as it has.

a cool evening with no precip in forecast

so the question is now how soft or wet is the field in Gnadeahutten? (sp)

Garaway can strike in the air, IV is a grinder running team (while both teams obviously do both I'm speaking on who they are in football terms)

Basically does IV carry any home field advantage in the game?

Garaway IV will be another fun one this week, will be interesting to see if garaway can put together back to back emotional performances, not easy.

To me, it all depends on IV's IR list. I assume they were down a lot of players against the wood. I'll give IV strong advantage if these players are back and that's without seeing the pirates play. SO MY OPINION ISN'T THAT RELAVANT.

Shouldn’t assume... 2 players out against the Wood. Were missing 5 starters last week.

So how would we rate the games this week?

SV - East Canton - Seems like the north title game
IV-Garaway - Seems like a battle for the top of the south
Tusky - Ridgewood - Under the radar but big implications for both teams
Newcs - Claymont - Big for these schools because it may be their only chance at a W
Buckeye Trail - TCC - Buckeye Trail can't slip up to keep north hopes alive
Malvern-Strasburg - Just kind of a game.

Any thoughts on any of these games?

Lol sorry, but playing IV in the latter part of the season isn't like playing them in non league at the start of the year. I just can't see Garaway keeping this close, but in the Pirates defense I would have said the same thing last week about Ridgewood too. So what do I know?

We are 2-2 Their but I almost bet money Garaway does not get beat by that much if IV Does win which is a very good possibility it should be by One to Two TDS

Remember last yr Garaway played them hard Lost 13-0 Failed to cash in on some key drives. but this team is a lot better then last years

I feel like Fairless & Tuslaw would be a perfect fit.

Large - IV, Claymont, Fairless, Tuslaw Tusky, Ridgewood, Garaway
Small - Sandy, Newcs, Malvern, East Canton, Buckeye Trail, TCC, Strasburg

Throw Hiland in the large and Conotton in the small for all other sports and I think it would be great.

But does 7 for football ruin it for the ADs?

If EC can best Sandy, the "small school" might come down to week #10 in Old Washington depending on week 9 (BT @ Sandy). That should be a nice game. Two solid QB's!

Do you think they look north? I would think Harrison Central would be tops on the list to add as they are aligned in the same east west corridor as ridge, clay, IV - and originally they are made of schools that were in the IVC

IVC 2020
Big
Garaway
Ridgewood
Indian Valley
Tusky Valley
Sandy Valley
Claymont

Small
Newcomerstown
East Canton
Strasburg
TCC
Malvern
Buckeye Trail
(Conotton Valley) Possibly
It was approved yesterday at the AD Meeting. Principals will vote next week. Conotton Valley wants into the small, but the only way that happens is if they find another school for the big. The issue with that is that it would be for football only. That will probably be tough to find. I know Harrison Central is a front runner if they want in, and also St. Thomas Aquinas, but I can't see them wanting in the big. If they can't get another big in, then Conotton will just have to wait to get in for football. As far as crossovers go, it's a topic still to be debated. If each division has seven, then there is a good possibility there will be no crossovers, but it's still up in the air. All of this will take place for football in 2020. This should put this widely debated topic to bed.

No chance it gets put to bed, it'll never be exactly right for some involved.

That's as far as I my aspersions will cast. Good luck tonight to your Hornets, I hope its a good game with a Cardinal victory. But if not, it'll be good to see the Hornets jump up to the top of their divisional seating.

Well you can't please everyone.

However kudos to the league for not just staying static. At least they are exploring alternatives. I like CV coming into the league - hope it happens.
