When itís all said and done they will be 1-9. They just donít have the weapons to beat Northmont or Fairmont. Beavercreek will save them from being shutout. Itís just a weak year.

Welcome to Yappi young buck. Your words are spoken like a true "Dad" of an underclassman. Safe to say, if your Freshman or Sophomore hasn't already played on an 0-7 team, they don't deserve to play. Lighten up Francis.

Throwing your upperclassmen under the bus is one biggest mistakes a coach can ever make. It absolutely destroys team unity, respect & team tradition. You play the guys who have "earned it" in practice, in the weight room and on the field, whether you're winning or losing...That's how players earn respect & that's how a coach gets respect.

Great Post Nooks. You hit the nail on the head. Most of these Helicopter parents just want to posture to get their kid in the game when in reality they haven't earned anything. They want play time by default. You play the guys that have shared in the suffering, not the young guys to cater to next years parents. Thats why there is a JV program. If you're not developing at JV, thats a coaching issue.

Game Day. It looks like the weather may play a factor in the score and will impact the passing game. I am still calling for a BIG upset...ELKS win 17-14.

Yes, but you've got to be able to score

I don't know what teams you have been watching this season, but Northmont has a great rush defense. Ask Springfield!!! They had under 100 yards on the ground, but had been averaging 231 yards per game! A rainy game certainly benefits the Bolts! Even though Northmont has the best passing offense in the GWOC, they still out rush Centerville's second to last in the GWOC rushing offense. Fairborn has more yards on the ground than the Elks do... I love your homer attitude, but the stats tell the story. The Bolts need to show up and take care of business!

The Bolts are coming to hang another L on the Centerville wall!

Great point, with that said, I hope the Senior gets a shot to start tonight at QB. It is Senior night and the Freshman may have received an offer to play at Louisville at summer camps in shorts and a t-shirt but in real action I am not seeing what Louisville sees.

X2...cuz I'm not buying Centerville going 0-10 and I don't want tonight being their jump start. And I'm pretty sure that the Bolts have a very favorable record playing in rain.

Especially on Senior night! I would find it appalling not to start him...but I'm not the Centerville coach.

Centerville should have a bonfire at the end of the season to symbolically burn their record and move on.

However in turns out, I'm sure a lot of good lessons have been learned this season. There's nothing like the sting of losing to motivate a winner...

WK 8 : Centerville (0-7) @ Northmont (6-1)

Centerville scores a touchdown, but gets called for offensive pass interference. They end up punting on 4th and 25. The touchback put the ball at the Bolts 20. 3 plays later they score on a Jestin Jacobs rush. 14-0 Bolts with 4:29 left in the first!

A fumbled pitch leads to another 3 and out for the Elks. Northmont fields the punt at their own 16 with a 3 yard return. 1st and 10 from the 19 for the Bolts.

An offensive pass interference call brings back a 40 yard gain for the Bolts. The hen another 15 yard unsportsmanlike penalty thrown on the Bolts head coach... 1st and 42 from their own 13.
