I do know the US helps fund the national team players in the league. I hope they can keep it going, those that are playing now are sacrificing a lot to maybe forge a league for future players. Congrats to the local players!

For 2017, there were 18-20 on each team’s roster and there was a team salary cap of $315,000 which amounts to an average of $17,500 (18) to $15,750 (20) per player.
However, there was a league minimum of $15,000 per player. There was a max salary of $41,700 but I am not sure how anybody gets that.
Assuming that a team has only 18 players on their roster and they are paying
16 women the $15,000 minimum that leaves the
two stud players getting ($315,000 – [16 x $15,000]) / 2 =
$37,500 each or one stud could get $41,700 and the other $33,300.
Training starts February 19th and the NWSL Championship game is about October 15th so almost an 8 month job.
