Loramie boys only had 2 first place votes heading to the State meet. Props to Stew for picking the Skins again. I believe he was the only coach to pick them in 16.

Also a shout out to Coach Prenger and staff. A first and a second. Both teams went to work in that last mile.

I don't think East Canton ran particularly well. Ft. Loramie had a much better 5 than I thought they had in comparison to East Canton. None of the voters had D3 boys all that well picked.

I usually give teams the benefit of the doubt against Woodridge in D2, but Woodridge only had 3 first place votes. The only one they shouldn't have had was Howard's. Bay was good. I thought they were the clear #4. $V$M, Shelby and Woodrige were all pretty close, but wouldn't you think voters would be more inclined to give Woodridge the edge?

Woodridge should get the edge now after the fact. As they say" past results
do not guarantee future ones". Shelby had been so dominate over D2 teams, and like Rocky River last year had not lost until the State Championship race.

Bay did well, and actually had the top #4 runner. too bad 5 was injured.

I told you Bay was good. I'll be honest with you, 1-3 did not run as well as they did at the District meet. You beat Woodridge and 1 and 2 at the District and were close at 3. Can't put it all on #5. Put 1,2 and 3 where they were in relationship to Woody's 1,2,3 and Bay beats Shelby.

Past results show trends. And Woodridge tends to get better as the season goes on. Woodridge also Dominated D2 teams throughout the season except maybe Bay at Boardman.

There was evidence before the fact to support giving the nod to the Woodies. Once I saw how muddy it was on Friday, there wasn't a doubt in my mind as to which team was going to win that race - Woodridge.

If my counting skills are any good, this makes 8 titles in the past 13 seasons, and all these years later, I'm shocked it isn't 9 titles in 14 seasons. I still can't believe they didn't close the deal in '05, but Salem had nearly everyone back from its title team the previous year, and St. V. was nothing to sneeze at that year either.
