As a season ticket holder, I'm for them. Get them for 6 bucks a ticket instead of 7.

If you’re willing to pay more money for the reserved seats go for it.

So long as they're filled. Absentee season ticket holders suck.

It's good money for the schools, and they don't even need the butts in the seats if they sold them out before the season. Sure, you may get some fair-weather fans in those sections, but if it's raining, good to have those tickets sold already.

I wondered about that. I'd be tempted to sit in those seats if they were usually empty. Does that school hire the OSU stadium ushers to make you move?

I think "reserve seating" is something only a few schools/communities should do. It's not for everyone. A place like "The Pit" at Amanda-Clearcreek should always do reserve seating because of the tradition that town has with it. A place that has never done it before, however, like, I don't know... Columbus Whetstone or Utica, should not.

I think reserve seating for home fans on the visitor side should be toward the endzones, not the 50.

My Alma mater has reserved seats between the 40s. Years ago they had ushers checking tickets. Today they don't. Price is only $1 more than GA. It's a kid-free zone since student GA is still priced at $2 so they seat further down toward the band.

Problem with the reserved/assigned seats is that there's a lot of standing room along the one endzone and many people congregate down there, including reserve fans who then leave their seats empty. It looks horrible to see that many empty seats and the GA sections more full. When I go to games there's only a few unsold reserve seats where I like to sit, and yet when you get to your seat there's pockets of open bleacher all around.

Years ago it made sense when fans outnumbered seats. But today the whole sideline should be GA.

I could be wrong but I think my money for reserved seats went to the booster club and the money for the pass went to the school. I liked knowing that if I was late leaving work that I knew where I would be sitting without someone saving a spot.

I gave them up when the family quit using them ( which was okay, they were with friends and I saw them at some point ).

Did utilize reserved seats at one of the away schools and like someone said, it was just a dollar more ( and still surrounded by our fans even if we were on "home" side ).
