Or in your case, people who don’t have a clue what they’re talking about.

That is why I asked who voted. All of the usual suspects, right?

Woodridge had no pass defense to speak of and Padua looked big, but slow. I am interested to see how they do against a fast defense.

This guy ^ watched the clips! And they’re slow!

The go to argument for every NDCL team ever.

Hartley is too high, Eastmoor Academy beat them in a scrimmage pretty good.

Offense aside, what makes Padua very good and a potential problem for anyone in D3 is their defense. And that’s with their second LB transfer and week 6 starter (Bimba) unavailable for four more games.

The offense looked slow at times with the RB’s being way too patient, letting the O-line work. There is nothing slow about the personnel. And the freshman QB is a superstar in the making.

Their front seven with Colt, Cri’shawn, Buzz, Bimba and Balla is outstanding.

Let's see how Padua does against a fast defense. Last year, it is undisputed that Padua had a very good team, yet when they played NDCL they weren't able to score until there was only about 7 minutes left in the fourth quarter and that was after Mooney started subbing freely. It is one thing to have fast players and quite another to be able to coach a team to play fast as a unit. The jury is still out on whether Padua is going to be able to accomplish that. As far as Woodridge goes, I wouldn't put too much stock in that game. Woodridge did not look like they were fielding much talent. Their fundamentals were awful from what I saw on the clips.

Woodridge over the past few years has been a good team. We’ll know more about them on Friday.
Either way it’s irrelevant.

The starters played a half and went 40-0 with the defense giving up 24 yards, -7 on the ground.
Which is exactly what a good team is supposed to do regardless of their opponent.

They probably graduated a few and were breaking in some new starters. We can't tell all that much from the openers. I am also looking at South to see how they fare against Maple. Not knowing who is going to win is what makes it fun.
