Kentucky Wrestling at GMVWA Holiday

I can't understand why anyone from Kentucky gets seeded in this tournament. They just don't compare to Ohio boys but end up taking a seed. It's bad for the tournament. Kentucky wrestling hasn't been relevant for probably 20 years! Rant over!

bucksman will become famous soon enough
Are there certain wrestlers from Kentucky whose production earns them a seed higher than they "merit"? Almost assuredly yes. However, the same can be said about some Ohio kids as well.

If you want to downgrade the quality of a Ryan Moore, Mason Smith, or Zane Brown -- be my guest, but you'd be extremely wrong.

David Carr is from Kentucky, shall we downgrade him too?

And what about the GA guys that got seeded? Preposterous! I mean, do they even wrestle in Georgia? Internationally there a pretty good country, but as a state? I guess they stole some seeds too... Hold my beer and watch this

GRAHAM is sitting 5 starters:
Alex Martin 120
Jordan Crace 126
JD Stickley 138
Joey Sanchez 152
Rocky Jordan 170
.... don't see them beating Buford, Ga
Without them.

lol, this is a beer moment thread and I like it. I don't drank beer, but if I did...... The tournament is already taking a hit from the missing Graham wrestlers so the seeding issue, like rankings may not be as big a concern to the rest of the field that's looking at their bracket and see no Crace, Jordan, or Stickley in their sight to a title. The seeding at the M.I.T 152lbs has a freshman #2 and McIntosh, Harrison unseeded beating the #1 seed in the 2nd round.

Ky wrestling is light years improved from 20 years ago. The state still has no depth but the top couple kids in each class can compete (except for the heavier weights, of course). Most Ky wrestlers in the lighter weights have been wrestling high school since 7th grade and that actually gives them an advantage.

I know it's still early Kentucky seems to be holding their own. All the seeded Kentucky kids are still in the championship round. Including a seeded 8th grader.

I think that's the argument, they havent lost because they are seeded. The test will be when they wrestle another seeded wrestler.

When someone says "8th grader" I would rather them just say their age. Nothing to do with kid, but my son is a 15yo sophomore and alot of the kids he wrestled with and against are still 8th graders for the second and third time.

Your right he is an 8th grader. He is a Kentucky 8th grader not an Ohio 8th grader. Born 10/03

I can most certainly assure the OP is not that guy. Despite the content of the message, it has sentence structure, conveys a clear thought and has punctuation. None of which any post by that guy has ever contained.
