Again, this is not correct as Ohio does not even have such designations.

As ohipup noted, what it has is a Ohio Hispyrical Marker, for Paul Brown, not the stadium. And it isnít even difficult to get such a marker.

1. It isnít selected by the state of Ohio.
2. Locals can submit to get one as long as they pay for it and agree to upkeep it.
3. It is approved the Ohio History Connection.

What are the odds that Maxie is busy today working his way through the application process for getting a marker for the Massillon Football Palace?

Bottom line is Massillon is the standard for high school football not only Stark Co.but the State of Ohio. It's not up for debate, nobody and I mean nobody does it better than Massillon. If you don't like it, you better learn to love it, because the tradition Massillon has established is forever...TIG

Nope. You yourself have already identified Massillon on this thread as Massillon being the inferior opponent in every playoff era title game. We all saw it. Any school that triumphed in a title game since '72 would make them better than the Tigers. Nice try at rewriting your own info tho.

That's what absolutely kills you is all that history that came before the 1972 season, you'd love to erase those 77 years from existence. You just can't do that though, try as you might to diminish and demean the history of Massillon football prior to 1972. Keep on trying, the fact is Massillon never has to win a State tournament championship, it's rich history and legacy are firmly cemented. TIG

Math and reading comprehension really aren't your strong points, but you do realize 23x 0 is still 0, don't you?

OFFICIAL OHSAA STATE CHAMPIONSHIPS:
CANTON McKINLEY...27
Massillon Wash.........0

Without McKinley's Official Big School State Football Championships, Stark County would have NONE.

So can the season start so there can actually be talk about THIS season?

P.S. I don’t care who started the petty bs. There’s more than one person at fault for it to go on this long.

The OHSAA did the Stark County D2 teams no favors with the regional assignments. Hoban, Hudson and the Youngstown area teams all in Region 5 with the Stark teams (Alliance, Lake, Hoover, Massillon & Perry). Somehow Green escaped to Region 6.

Since when has the OHSAA been in the business of "doing favors"? It's all about matchups that will draw crowds. Grow up

Region 5 is now arguably the toughest region in the state. The only region with a valid argument is 4.

You need a psychiatrist! Stay away from sharp objects! D1R1 is by far the states toughest region. Theres a very good reason Massillon quit playing Iggy, and Mentor. Its called "getting crushed every year". The games werent even close...

So by those standards McKinley will be dropping Massillon from their schedule?

McKinley has 52 wins over Massillon, so it's not the same thing as Massillon only having one win in 20 games?against Iggy and Mentor. You need a psychiatrist.

That guy has multiple screen names simultaneously and gives new meaning to "Massilloon." He's a solipsistic moron who can't get over the fact that his school shrank down to D2.

You should definitely refrain from calling anyone a moron Mr. Pot. And nobody but you cares if schools are D1 or D2 there isn't a thing in the world yappi posters can do about that, just like posters have no control if their community is decrepit and dying. Still excellent football.
