NDCL didn't have three standout seniors transfer out this year the way Benedictine did as far as I know and the NDCL fan base is smart enough not to advertise it if they did. LOL! The Bennie fan base is as dumb as a bag of hammers. Have you been talking to Augie lately. You know, one of those self designated "classy" Bennie fans who thinks that somehow Benedictine's football success rests on NDCL's failing? God, the Bennie fan base has cornered the market on stupidity and their state test scores attest to that.
interesting. So, here you are on a football forum, saying you have no interest in how NDCL does in football and all you care about is academics (along with your LOOK AT ME comment about your degrees). Did I get that right? So.. why exactly are you on a football forum?

would be GREAT to see him in a Browns uniform.

Do I owe you some sort of explanation?

You know, I know 5 kids who attended Benedictine over the past seven years. One graduated, three left after the first year and one after the second. Do you think it is the dilapidated gym with the unique acoustical panels? Just wondering.

Yeh I know of 3 kids that went to NDCL years ago. One is an alcoholic and unemployed. Two of them are landscapers who smoke a lot of weed.
Do you think itís the beautiful sprawling field or the nice pond? Itís not the school parkhaven itís what the kids take out of there education. But your trying to shame Benedictine. Shame on you!

Looks like my question flummoxed PH. He hasn't explained why an academic with little interest in football is on this forum. I suppose he also should enlighten us why an academic with an admitted minor interest in football knows the transfer history of so many high school kids. Perhaps he's a bit more interested in football then he is letting on? LOL

I had a ton of original info. You wouldn't touch my quote with a ten foot pole. Why not? Because a family member of yours was not able to handle what it takes to attend Benedictine...That is not the fault of the school. It is your issue, not Benedictine's. Most people could care less what goes on at NDCL, Lake Catholic or any other school in Ohio. They care about their own children, how they fit in at a school. If they fit at Benedictine they do, if they fit at NDCL, they're allowed too. If they don't they move on. Great thing about living in America...you have choices. If your choice is to bash using your anonymity, that is cowardly.
My name is Greg Findura. I support Benedictine. Academically, Athletically & for their Religious believes. Who are you?

Congrats to Mitch Lengyel '16 who will be playing tight end for Kent St. this year. Made the team as a walk on and is slated to play in this Saturday's Blue an Gold spring game.

Congratulations to Jerome Baker '15....and The Ohio State University, drafted in 3rd round, no. 73 overall, at linebacker by the Miami Dolphis. Has a good chance to play as LB was one of the Dolphins needs.

Second year in a row that a Benedictine player drafted... last year Mike Roberts (TE) went to the Detroit Lions.

Could be three in a row next year if DB Justin Layne comes out from Michigan State.

Baker was a beast at Benedictine and he's an even bigger moster now. Congrats to him and the Bengal Nation!

A good weekend for Benedictine grads...

First Jerome Baker getting drafted by the Dolphins...

Then I read that the Avengers: Infinity War made box office history with the biggest global opening weekend of all time with a total take of $630 million.

This movie, as well as a few others of this genre, are directed by Bengal grads Anthony Russo and Joe Russo. Both played football at Benedictine... Anthony played American football. Joe played European football (soccer to us).

Any word on the DC opening? Someone being promoted from in house or looking to hire from the outside.

This will be the 3rd DC in 3 seasons for the Bengals.

It has gotten quiet here.

What are the predictions for next year?

I'm going with 5-5

Bengals will be very young. Lots of sophomores will see significant time. 2019 and 2020 should be amazing. But next year will be a learning process. I'll reserve the right to adjust this as the season approaches but that's my thoughts right now.

There has been some news.

1) Benny will be in Division II Region 5. Once again Hoban will be the big dog with a lot of larger sized Publics like Mayfield, Hudson, and WGH in the Region.

2) The Kehres Brothers will be back in charge of the hockey program: http://www.news-herald.com/article/H...ORTS/180609685 A lot of 2.0 going on these days with regards to Benny coaches.

Another great example of coaches having players contact kids from other schools and talk them into transferring.

Any kid that could be talked in to transfering to VF from anywhere else does not belong at Bene.
Mathias has been replaced with an upgrade and the incoming sophomore’s are talented.
It’s not the best situation but the doom and gloom here is unwarranted.

I hear this Daniel Keenan kid coming in is pretty good. 6'2" 200 lb TE/LB Senior. Similar in size to a slightly bigger Connor O'Donnell who is also returning for his senior year. Can they fill the shoes of Matthias? If anything it is an upgrade.

Demchuk has been throwing a tight ball in the off-season. Not to mention we have the best special teams in America.

15-0 this season.

You also have an incoming junior, 6’ 220 lbs LB / FB that was the only two way starter for St Xavier (JV) last season.

Everybody want to take a long step back from the ledge now?

Maybe not 15-0, but Iím going 8-2 for the regular season.

Who do you see the two regular season losses to?

How far of a playoff run made?

Hoban is an obvious favorite against any D2 team they’ll play.
They’ll be young so another loss seems like a good bet. Could be Padua, Erie, Lake...

No idea on the playoffs. If they do go 8-2 with a Hoban loss who should be undefeated, 9-1, 8-2 then they’ll likely land a very winnable playoff game. From there it just depends on how the games lineup.
