Steve Nash, Jason Kidd, Grant Hill to be inducted into Basketball Hall of Fame

Former two-time NBA MVP Steve Nash, former All-Stars Jason Kidd, Grant Hill and Maurice Cheeks and long-time front office executive Rod Thorn are among those who will be inducted into the Basketball Hall of Fame on Sept. 7, five people familiar with the news told USA TODAY Sports.

Taco MacArthur has a little shameless behaviour in the past
I guess Hill's time at Duke, the Olympics and his first few years before the ankle injury were enough to get him in. If he didn't have the ankle injury then I wouldn't think of questioning it. I'm not sure on this one. I don't think I'd have voted him in.

Really don't get the Mo Cheeks.

The basketball hall of fame, i feel does use a total view of the game, including college, pro and even what they've given to the game. One that I always questioned was Bill Walton. Great, great college career, and a very good early pro career, he was 20/12 with Portland his first 4 years, then pretty much hurt and a role player after that.

I think with Mo Cheeks, he's been a long time coach in the NBA/ head coach and assistant and a good ambassador for the game. He had a good, but not great playing career.

Each hall of fame is a little different.
