I knew you had hit 100 with two but didn't realize you had also done so with
Bellefontaine. Looks like greenville is next up. Four opponents with 100 or
more would probably be hard to equal. I think 5-5 would be good for you,and waite,wc, split fist two, maybe fairborn and your at 4-6. I don't see you beating v-b or TM and I think G-ville qb and a few other rb/rcv will get them past you so better beat Piqua or Troy to get there. Good luck.

They shouldn't be, there was about 23 schools larger than them. They should stay D3. If they do than Butler and Piqua should as well

So there are going to be over 24 teams moving up then, that's what you're saying. Talk about kick in the nuts

Not heard much about the quad scrimmage last week. I think Tecumseh won 2-1 and tied with Glen Este 1 score each. Don't know what happened against Massie.

Should get a better picture tonight with CJ coming to town. Always preferred the 2nd scrimmage because it's like a true game rather than series and segments.

St. Marys beat up on Urbana in their scrimmage on Friday 48-14 in 3 quarters of varsity (JV played a LOT of it after they jumped out to a big lead early).

Game will be live on www.wkki.net K94.3fm out of Celina if you can't make it.

Sidney Daily News Preview

Following an 0-10 struggle in his first season as head coach of the Sidney Yellow Jackets, Adam Doenges put together back-to-back 4-6 seasons. But that dropped off to just 2-8 a year ago, so Doenges and his squad are looking to keep that from becoming a trend as they head into the 2015 season. He has 14 lettermen returning from a year ago, but he has to replace seven starters who graduated and two more who chose not to play. So the challenge is there again this season. However, a big increase in numbers gives reason for optimism.

“Overall, the numbers for grades 9-to-12 are up by 20 from last year,” Doenges said. “And despite losing the starters, it’s still a veteran team. We have seven players returning who have been starting for the past two years, and we’re going to rely heavily on those kids.”

The list is led by wide receiver/defensive back Darryl McNeal, who is already a three-year letter-winner. Last season, he was on the receiving end of 49 passes for 519 yards and four touchdowns. Six-foot and 190 pounds, McNeal is being recruited by Division II colleges. He was first team All-Greater Western Ohio Conference North at wide receiver last season.

Also back is massive Lorenzo Taborn, a two-year letterman who is 6-foot-4 and 320 pounds. He will be on the offensive line, and is being recruited by Cincinnati, Toledo and Bowling Green. He was a second team All-GWOC North selection last year.

Conor Beer is a two-year letterman and still just a junior, and is coming off a season that saw him earn first-team All-North honors as a return man. Five- foot-eight and 160 pounds, he averaged 26.6 yards per return last season and electrified local fans when he returned two kickoffs for touchdowns of 82 and 67 yards to pave the way for Sidney’s first win of the season against West Carrollton. He was also second on the team in pass receptions with 26 for 268 yards and three touchdowns. And he will also play at defensive back.

Jack Feazel, a 6-0, 178- pound junior, returns under center this season. Last season, he was 104-for-218 through the air for 1,054 yards and seven touchdowns.

Devan Rogers lettered last season on the offensive and defensive lines and was just a freshman. This season, he is 6-1, 260 pounds. He was a
second-team All-North pick last year.

And another returnee is Damian Duff, a 5-10, 165-pound senior two-year letterman who will be at wide receiver and defensive back. He averaged 12.9 yards per catch last season.

Kicker Danny Dean is also back this season after earning two letters already. Last season, he was 26-for-27 on point after kicks.

Another player returning up front will be Devin Santos, who is a 6-0, 210-pound senior. He was also a second team All-North pick last
season. He’s a player to be contended with at defensive end, too. He was third on the team last year in tackles with 53, the most among any returning player.

Key newcomers include junior defensive end Javon Purk, who is 6-1, 191; freshman quarterback/defensive back Andre Gordon, who is 6-0, 168; freshman wide receiver/defensive back Josiah Hudgins, who is 6-0, 160; sophomore running back/defensive back Isaiah Bowser, who is 6-0, 190; and junior wide receiver/linebacker Allec Gordon, who is 6-2, 217.

One big hole to fill is at running back. Eric Barnes rushed for 1,123 yards last season, but has graduated. No one else on the team rushed for more than 57 yards.

“We’ll rely heavily on the returning players, with help from a good mix of younger talent,” said Doenges. “Offensively, we will look the same as the past few years, but with more weapons. Defensively, we’re going to change to an odd front to get more athletes on the field.”
