Great point. And this offense is a little more diverse than the Combs/Haynes era.

Great job by both teams getting to the region semis. The podcasts by Coach Grippa was good stuff.

Special thanks to St. X for hosting the game for those who advanced in the region. The field should be in excellent shape because it hasn't been run on too much this year.

Have to give the Eagles a lot of credit for the offensive onslaught they unleashed on Fairfield in the second half. Defensively limiting the Indians to 12 first downs also stands out. With all that passing proficiency they quietly have a running back Cameron Kells who has almost 1600 yards rushing.

My Cards (there's a strong connection between Cardinals and the Pope) win state title #2 this year. Won't be tested until state finals, if then.
Coach Bolden has done a great job keeping that thing humming!

FYI to the pagans..... A Cardinal is usually an ordained bishop of the Catholic Church. The Cardinals of the Church are collectively known as the College of Cardinals. The duties of the Cardinals include attending the tailgating of Friday night football games at St X and making themselves available individually or in groups to the Pope as requested. A Cardinals primary duty is electing the Pope when the see becomes vacant and keeping beer cold at tailgating.
So you see, long before I was Pope, I was a Cardinal!

So does this mean you will pull for the Cardinals if Colerain and Elder both win this week? Wouldn't that get you kicked out of the next service of flesh eating and blood drinking?

Yes. I think a lot of people expected the option to disappear with KC though.

We only charge the less fortunate so we can give back to he even less fortunate, the kids from Westwood, Dent, Delhi, Price Hill, etc.

Colerain rolls in this one, only chance for Milford is if the rain is heavy and the field is slick, or Pace follows in his dad's footsteps (that's a low blow, but in good fun). Would love to see a scheme battle between Elder and Colerain next week, they both are very creative offensively, but with completely different styles. That QB keep after the dropback that hurt X for a big play was a great wrinkle from Bolden.

Don't get me wrong, I abhor everything about Colerain, from the quagmire that is Colerain Ave to the sorry state of the Crapcage, but have to respect their team for bringing it every year.

"It's going to be tough (to beat Colerain), St. Xavier coach Steve Specht said. They are going to be a tough out this year. I want to see that trophy back down here. We want one in Region 4. Tom is a friend of mine. I want him to win one. They are going to be a tough out because they are a really good football team."

Thanks Coach

Stadium Trivia question .

Should the Cards be fortunate enough to win tonight will they tie the Bombers for home victories at Ballaban stadium this year ?

Colerain stadium could definitely use some upgrades, but at least you can see the game well at a good distance from anywhere. (Almost endless room on the hill.) So many stadiums around have horrible visitors sections and pretty much nowhere to watch if you can't get a seat.

Also Colerains traffic/parking situation and getting in and out is one of the best and easiest around. Seriously left my house at 6:40 last week, drove to the game, parked, bought a ticket, and found seats before kickoff at 7.....After the game, I was at home with a beer in my hand within 10 mins.

On my travels to Nicaragua, I'm often working with the poorest of the poor.
They're living in tin shacks with dirt floors, no water, no schools, and average wages of just over $1/day. Realizing they need a glimmer of hope, I'll carry pictures of Mt Rumpke, the Turdcage, Colerain Ave, etc. This immediately lifts their spirits as they think while they have it tough, at least they don't live in Colerain!

Final score:
Colerain 42
Milford 7

That didn’t take long.... Cards gonna blow through my 42-7 prediction by halftime.

Just heard my prediction was correct, 42-7.... but I forgot to add... mid 2nd quarter!
