Yep. Just shows LaSalle had a PLAYER and not a program. You have teams pop up like that every once and a while and then go away forever. Larkin was a good one.

The Waycross highlight video was nice. Sounded like lots of key penalties. Clutch kick and unbelievable catches on the last drive. You wonder how that happens with 8 men deep. Speaking of penalties, anyone catch the WW right wing on the field goal attempt tackle the rusher? With as much as the officials wanted to be the stars of the game, im surprised they didnt call that. Hard to see on the waycross video but the channel 5 video was looking directly at it.

Also the video shows a obvious holding on LaSalle on long QB run by wide out. There were holding penalties on both sides of the ball that were not called. WW made one more play and one less turnover , it was simply a great game by two good programs.

Luckily, Larkin was able to help win a third straight state title last season while nursing an injury at Northwestern.

Cool it. Winton Woods was the best DII team La Salle played in each of the past three years, with the possible exception of Perrysburg in 2015 and Perry in 2016. The Woods would have thrashed the rest of them.

He was playing a lot of saftey. His normal position in Inside LB

So I had a chance to re watch the game on Hudl. As I said before Oats was playing safety and he isn't experienced at the position. What LaSalle did was substitute a WR late and put him in to run a route. When this happened, this confused Oats on who go cover. Causing LaSalle to score on a long pass play. WW staff complained about the illegal substitution and the refs if after that.

You won, and yet still can't let some things go. On TV it looked like Jet motion from the 1 receiver side (which was on LS's side).... which also looked like the same thing on every news highlight. Not a substitution. Also, Oats was playing LB on the play, whoever was playing man to man on #11 got burnt, simple as that. It was a roll out throwback, great play, but you guys won, just enjoy it. Have fun this week.

That wasn't the play I was talking about buddy! I was talking about the long TD play. Not the play closer to the goalie when the WW DB looked into the backfield and got out of position. Merritt made a great throw because the WW DB recovered pretty well but still gave up the score

The long TD was a run by the Lancer QB on a zone read. The long TD pass was called back for holding (I'm sure all Lancer fans will love talking about that one). I believe it was a 3 step slant and #11 out ran the corner. So which one are you watching???? Like I said, I am glad you won, congratulations, but enjoy this week. Good luck.

You enjoy those goofy statements quite a bit, don't you ?

All that good juju beaming in from NW. That's power.

If they can plug-n-play a third coach and maintain 12+ week seasons, now that's a program.

I would think that this year's backup QB Drew Nieman would be in the mix. Is A.J. Nieman his father who still hold some single season passing records at La Salle.

MOST YARDS PASSING 2673 A. J. NIEMAN 1983
MOST PASSES COMPLETED 202 A. J. NIEMAN 1983

Why would a kid from Dayton have to live with Granny to go to LaSalle?
Just write the check and go.

2 very skilled QBs at the freshman level this year. Watson who is the younger brother of Nick Watson (4yr starter at LaSalle) is a running threat much like his brother was. Has a strong arm but needs good high school development. Branam is a special talent. He has the smarts of Merrit this year but a better runner. I think this kid will have one heck of a career. Moving Watson to the slot and keeping Branam at QB would ensure both these talents are on the field. LaSalle certainly has a good crop of underclassman with some already getting a taste of varsity. Should be interesting.

Good to hear about the QBs. I was impressed with the sophomores on the team this year as well.

Hopefully there is some talent on the lines too.
