IMO if he had not done his protest ... he would be on someone's roster
if he was better ... he would be on someone's roster
but because of both, he is not on anybodies roster.

Black Lives Matter Leader Calls for NFL Boycott Over Kaepernick 'Blackballing'
Quote:
Daily News columnist and Black Lives Matter leader Shaun King announced Tuesday he is boycotting the National Football League for allegedly blacklisting Colin Kaepernick.
Kaepernick, who started a nationwide trend with his controversial decision to kneel during the pre-game national anthem to protest racial injustice in America, has not been signed by an NFL team since he opted out of his contract with the San Francisco 49ers in March.

I don't understand why this situation is so hard to comprehend, same treatment Tebow got. Nobody wants their 2nd string QB to create controversy and a media circus.

Comparing Kaepernick to Tebow or Michael Sam is laughable. He could lead the Browns to 4 wins next year easily which would be a massive accomplishment.
Any contending team with a void at backup QB is playing themselves by not seriously considering him.

How many wins did he lead SF to last year with an offense which he was a perfect fit?

Yeah bc having an above avg backup QB is totally worth the media circus and alienating a large portion of the fan base.

You can get away with a ton in the NFL, if you're good enough. If Kap was as good as Brady, Brees, Rodgers, etc, teams would be pounding at his door. However, bc he's a below avg starting QB/ above avg backup, he's simply not worth the headache. And even though he's going to stand for the Anthem, he's still an obnoxious, Pro Castro, SJW

They'd have to change their offense. It's smart to get a back up level QB who can run the current offense in place. Smart choice.

Not really, the issue isn't the quality of the athlete, it's the baggage that comes with it vs. the potential upside.
Backup QB's have to want to be backup QB's. It's a mindset. You have to be ready and able to step in and run the team, but you also have to relinquish when the starter is ready to return.
Could Michael Sam had played on special teams and filled in some packages on defense for an NFL team? Of course. But the sideshow about an openly gay player week in and week out wasn't worth the constant distraction.
Tim Tebow could be a back up NFL QB. But again, it's every week, the media asking the coach when Tebow plays or gets a shot if there is any problems with the starter.
Kaepernik wiill have to wait and see if there is a significant injury to a starter on a team that's not rebuilding. That's about his only hope, and it's still not a guarantee.

Exactly, the media bares almost all of the blame. I guarantee, if the media treated him like every other backup, he'd be signed. However, bc of SJW ESPN and Talcum X sticking their nose in to team business every week, he's not worth it.

I still disagree.
If he could be used effectively in 70% of most NFL teams' playbooks, I might buy it. He's proven that he can't, irrespective of any "distraction factor". That and the $ he wants are why he's unsigned.

But it's newsworthy because of what he did, agree or not agree. You take a political stance when it's not generally taken, you're going to get the media treatment. I don't blame the media, they are in the business of selling newspapers and getting eyeballs to watch. And I'm perfectly fine if he fell on the sword for his career. I honestly think he would not do it again the same way if he knew this was the outcome.

Too much guaranteed, otherwise he'd be signed somewhere like Carolina or Seattle.

His now-a-throwback jersey is the #1 seller at the moment. Lotsa signifyin' going on.......
If he doesn't get a piece of each one, I'd say the NFL has had the last laugh

Is there any evidence to support weirdo's claim that Kaep is asking for crazy guaranteed money? It's pretty obvious Weirdo can't find any.
